    Hello.
As it is impossible to add a question to another topic, I assume a new one.
The point is that since November I have a digital Polsat set-top box 5000, this set-top box has had a new soft or software as it called.
As he did not have it on virtually all channels, the first bar was full and the second was about 75%
Now the new software shows on all channels the first bar of 89-95% and the second 49%, sometimes even despite the nice weather and slightly cloudy, some programs interrupting it, i.e. writing no signal or jumping the image such small squares. And when it rains, the image disappears completely (no signal), I must honestly say that when there is a satellite, I will not have such problems, and here the zonk. I think it was better before this decoder update. At the moment I have a second multiroom decoder and I have a 5500 decoder there is old software and on it the quality and signal strength is the old one, i.e. the first bar is full and the second one is 75% there, too, when there is a storm, the picture disappears.

Polsat's antenna is 70 and will not provide reception in heavy rain. In a storm, even an antenna over a meter cannot be used. If the weather is good, you have problems with reception, it means that the antenna is positioned incorrectly. There should be a minimum of 66% quality in new software.

In the new firmware, they have worsened the sensitivity and indications of signal levels. On "green" I had the strength to the maximum and the quality was over 3/4. Now I have 83/50 to 86/83 (S / Q)
    However, there are no jams.

So what can I do to make it rain? Exchange for a larger plate? How so what?

I have Inverto and the ?85 bowl. Dish, alignment, converter, cable.
MER-12-14. It was better on the old software. In this new one they worsened, increased the requirements for reception. Consciously, especially?

Too little. On such a plate there should be at least 15dB on most transponders.

They write 12-15dB. Maybe the antenna changed a bit because I have a home-made motor and after the renovation I did not connect the power supply. However, everything works fine. The old software was as above.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues experienced with the Polsat Digital Set-top Box 5000 following a software update. Users report a decrease in signal quality and strength, with some experiencing complete signal loss during rain. Concerns are raised about the new firmware's sensitivity and signal level indications, suggesting that the update has increased reception requirements. Recommendations include checking antenna alignment and considering a larger dish for improved reception. Comparisons are made with older software versions, which reportedly provided better performance.
