On the manufacturer's website you have ... the latest available software.

I know, there are files with the 2011 modification date, so you don't want to believe that there were no newer updates.

But it's just software, it doesn't matter. The maps themselves can be uploaded newer, only usually different than those of the device manufacturer.

Well, of course, so I wasn't asking about maps, but about an alternative way to update windows, e.g. this one Link

If the hardware manufacturer has not made the update available, it will be very hard to get something - unless you write the WIN CE xx system itself :) .

Well, what if they showed up? Do you think none of us know about the existence of ce7? Navigation is not a computer in which you can change the system at will. What the manufacturer released is what you can use. There are practically no alternative solutions, and I don't think you'll be able to find and apply one. But nobody prevents you from blazing the trail :-)
The only thing you can try is to choose the software from another device on the same disc as yours, but if everything works, you still won't get anything. So the question is why.

    For example, for:

    Windows CE 7.0

System released in 2010. New features:

Support for processors with two cores (e.g. ARMv6),
    Positioning based on WIFI,
    Bluetooth 3.0 support
    DRM technology support,
    NDIS 6.1 support,
    Advanced touch and gesture support,
Synchronization of data and media with MTP,
Updated graphics based on Open GL ES 2.0,
Improved Internet Explorer 8 with backward compatibility,
    Support for tabs,
    DLNA.
    wi-fi support

    Embedded Compact 2013

    System released in 2013:

    DHCPv6 support
    IPv6 support over VPN
    Snapshot boot
    Improved XAML support
Improved memory management compared to version 7
HTML Help viewer has been added

And someone has already paved the way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0sVsRUgvhc

    I wonder what ...

and you can go on and on ....

Have you tried to browse the web on a device with a single core processor and 64MB of RAM? Look at the parameters of your smartphone and ask yourself again why.

no. What does this have to do with navigation? The video shows an unknown device that does not have much relevance to your navigation system.
As further discussion becomes futile, please write to me when you manage to update your device and what profits you made from it.

I see that you cannot or will not help me and you are trying to discourage me. I am just an ordinary user of navigation, not the latest anymore, so this desire to update, without technical details and without the need to argue why, for example, I prefer to have "Improved Internet Explorer 8 with backward compatibility"

@ YUREK1st Can't you understand that it is not enough to load just any system?
The system must be designed for a specific type of navigation.

Of course I understand, that's why I ask on the forum and not try to do it myself:

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around updating Windows CE 6.0 on the Navroad NR470 Enovo navigation device. Users are directed to the manufacturer's website for available updates, but concerns arise regarding the lack of recent software updates, with some files dating back to 2011. While alternative software options exist, the consensus is that the device's hardware limits the feasibility of such updates. Users express frustration over the inability to upgrade to newer versions like Windows CE 7.0 or Embedded Compact 2013, which offer enhanced features. The conversation highlights the challenges of updating proprietary navigation systems and the importance of using software specifically designed for the device.
