    Hello

I am looking for information on wired connection of the display from the tablet to the computer. I do not mean a dirty usb, but here's to somehow let the computer image through the hdmi to the tablet. To the question of the type "But why the tablet after all ..." - I explain - I was looking for and found such things dedicated to the raspberry pi and they would work, but of course there is only the 7 and 10 inch version  and I need 9 because it will fill the gap in my car. Regards and sorry like a bad department.

    It's not a tablet you're looking for, it's a display.
There is HDMI OUTPUT in the tablet and end of discussion.

If the tablet has an ethernet port, some video streaming is involved, but this is quite a complicated topic.

I found 9-inch monitors with google without any problems ... 63 USD :P

I forgot to add, and this is important - I also need touch support (necessarily capacitive)

Added after 10 [hours] 13 [minutes]:

And is it possible to buy only the touch and buy a module that converts this signal to USB? I'm talking of course about a capacitive touch. If there was such a possibility, I just buy a 9-inch display and stick a touch to it.

    Added after 10 [minutes]:

Otherwise, will I connect the DACA to the tablet with WIN 8 via USB? Will the same number go to the DAC?

Added after 4 [hours] 32 [minutes]:

Or is it possible to buy some modules to which the display from the tablet and touch would be connected, so that the output was on, for example, HDMI and USB

Added after 18 [hours] 6 [minutes]:

    Can anyone help ?

Or maybe you know any other displays that would come? Please also answer the above questions

    Added after 1 [minutes]:

There will be no 9 inch (capacitive) touch screen.

Is capacitive touch so important to you?

If you make a conversion chip, yes.

I must have capacitive. If I did not have to, I would have bought 9 inches with usb and hdmi for a long time and there would be no topic. I must have at least 5 points.

    Conversion circuit?

Added after 7 [hours] 31 [minutes]:

The DAC that would likely be used is the SMSL SD 1955

Sorry about the spam, but I do care a little on time hehe ;)

I will specify all the questions (maybe it will help with the answers)

    1. Is it possible to buy an LCD with a Digitizer from a tablet and connect these two things via HDMI and USB? As I write all the time, I mean, of course, a capacitive touch. Maybe there are already some ready-made devices through which such something could be done?

    2. If I just bought a tablet, would it be possible to do:
    - ~~~~~~ Connecting USB HUB to which I would connect:
    - Connecting the DACA SMSL SD 1955 to the MICRO USB (via an adapter) in such a way that only the digit (192kbs) goes without loss?
    - USB connection to the AVT1822 set that would adjust the volume.
    - Possibly other things.

    Please help.

FAQ

TL;DR: 9-inch HDMI monitors start around $63; “There is HDMI OUTPUT in the tablet and end of discussion,” so tablets won’t take HDMI-in. [Elektroda, czareqpl, post #16622603] Why it matters: This FAQ helps makers and car‑PC builders decide between Remote Desktop, standalone 9" monitors, or DIY LCD+touch routes—especially if they need capacitive multi‑touch.

Quick-Facts

Quick Facts

Can I use a tablet as an HDMI touch monitor for my PC?

No. Consumer tablets expose HDMI output, not input. An HDMI cable can’t make a tablet accept a PC’s HDMI signal. Use a separate 9" HDMI display or stream the desktop over the network instead. “There is HDMI OUTPUT in the tablet and end of discussion.” [Elektroda, czareqpl, post #16622603]

How do I mirror and control my PC on an Android tablet with touch?

Use an RD (Remote Desktop) client. Install an RD app on Android, enable Remote Desktop on the PC, and connect over Wi‑Fi or Ethernet. This gives screen, keyboard, and multi‑touch control via the network. Expert tip: “Simple theme, RD client application for Android ...”. [Elektroda, jdubowski, post #16622822]

Is there a plug‑and‑play module to turn a tablet’s LCD + digitizer into HDMI + USB?

You would need a matching LCD controller for that exact panel and a USB capacitive‑touch controller for the digitizer. Availability depends on the panel model and pinout, which varies by tablet. Many builders instead pair a generic 9" HDMI LCD with a separate USB touch overlay. [Elektroda, beniu1212, post #16635312]

Can I buy only a capacitive touch panel and convert it to USB?

Yes, if you add a compatible capacitive touch controller that enumerates as a USB HID device. Match the controller to the sensor’s interface (I2C/USB) and size, then connect it to the PC via USB for multi‑touch. This decouples touch from the display source. [Elektroda, beniu1212, post #16622843]

Why won’t a resistive screen meet my 5‑point multi‑touch requirement?

Resistive panels are usually single‑touch, suited to stylus presses. You stated you need at least 5 simultaneous touch points, which calls for a capacitive sensor and controller. For multi‑gesture UX, choose projected‑capacitive hardware. [Elektroda, beniu1212, post #16632831]

What’s the most cost‑effective near‑9" path right now?

Buy a 9" HDMI display (not a tablet) and add a USB capacitive touch overlay. Example monitor pricing cited was about $63. This keeps wiring simple: HDMI for video, USB for touch. It also fits car‑dash cutouts better than 7" or 10" options. [Elektroda, czareqpl, post #16622603]

Are true 9-inch capacitive touch screens easy to find?

Expect limited selection. The thread author reported failing to find a 9" capacitive touch part and considered alternative sizes. Many vendors stock 7" and 10" kits, but 9" can be scarce. Plan for size flexibility or custom sourcing. [Elektroda, beniu1212, post #16632133]

Can I connect a USB DAC like SMSL SD 1955 to a Windows tablet and get digital audio?

You can connect via the tablet’s USB, but you may need a proper conversion/interface path as noted. Use the tablet’s USB host (OTG) and a hub if needed; ensure the DAC enumerates correctly. “If you make a conversion chip, yes.” [Elektroda, Freddy, post #16632821]

What does “conversion chip” mean here?

It refers to adding the right interface so USB devices work with the tablet’s port and power constraints. For audio, that means ensuring the tablet runs as USB host and the DAC receives proper USB signaling and power, often via OTG plus a powered hub. [Elektroda, Freddy, post #16632821]

Is Ethernet/streaming a viable alternative to HDMI for this setup?

Yes. Instead of HDMI, stream the desktop and use touch over the network with an RD client. This avoids HDMI‑in limitations and lets the tablet act as a thin client for display and input. It is the simplest workable route here. [Elektroda, jdubowski, post #16622822]

Could a very cheap tablet like DT360 work as a car‑PC front end?

As a budget display/controller, perhaps—but it uses resistive touch and runs old Windows XP. A forum example cited about PLN 99 for an ~8.4" unit. It’s fine if single‑touch is acceptable, but not for 5‑point gestures. [Elektroda, Freddy, post #16632375]

Will a USB hub on a tablet let me run a DAC and a volume kit together?

A powered USB hub via OTG can fan out multiple devices. In your plan, that includes the SMSL SD 1955 DAC and the AVT1822 volume kit. Watch power draw and ensure the tablet remains in USB host mode for stable audio and control. [Elektroda, beniu1212, post #16635312]

Quick how‑to: use an Android tablet as a touch front end for a PC

  1. Install an RD client on Android and enable Remote Desktop on the PC.
  2. Join the same network (car hotspot or router) and connect via the RD app.
  3. Set the RD app to auto‑start and full‑screen for a dash‑friendly UI. “Simple theme, RD client application for Android ...”. [Elektroda, jdubowski, post #16622822]
