In my opinion, such an antenna will not help much, the receivers in smartphones are extremely weak. This is an "sticky" add-on somewhere with some space for the gadget.
I once compared outside the city, the radio on tda7088 for 5 PLN is doing better.
Try to adjust the headphone cable arrangement, or change the "pickup" location if possible.
