Hello, gentlemen. I have a question. How is the turn signal relay interrupting the voltage? The turn signal switch gives constant voltage to the control circuit of the relay so what interrupts it? Thanks in advance for your response; D; D

hmm. The relay is powered all the time, but it is only when it "feels" the load (by choosing the control handle which side should flash or pressing the "emergency" button) to start working.

It is interrupted by an electronic timer circuit that powers the relay coil.

The handle contains the light bulbs with the chopper and the one under the load begins to interrupt. Yes, chops. As for emergency DC power supply with 6 bulbs. As in the direction after the ignition of 3.

I'm just interested in this electronic time circuit. Someone has a pattern? How it works I would like to delve a little bit. ; D

Honestly? Life taught me not to look, I searched and then stupidity I learned and repeated again. Now I prefer to ask someone who has an idea. ; D

Don't read this topic. It is about converting a "standard" relay into one with NE555 which is to "blink" LED lamps instead of bulbs.

Schemes are many, however, typical a4 I did not find. As far as I remember, the A4 / A6 interrupter has two relays and an integrated circuit which gives a different interruption time for direction indicators and emergency (emergency blinks slightly faster).

Topic summary

The discussion centers around the operation of the turn signal relay in the Audi A4 B5, specifically how it interrupts voltage. It is clarified that the relay is continuously powered but activates based on load detection when the turn signal switch is engaged. An electronic timer circuit is responsible for controlling the relay coil, allowing for the interruption of voltage. Users express interest in understanding the electronic timer circuit further, with references to various relay configurations and diagrams from related models like the VW Passat B5 FL. The conversation also touches on the differences in blinking rates for turn signals and emergency lights.
