    I warmly welcome

I am new to the forum, but have been following it for a long time and have found answers many times to problems that I tried to somehow fight, but this time due to the presence of many variable factors I decided to open a new thread. To the point :

I have problems with terrestrial TV reception. This applies to: MUX1, MUX2, MUX3. The signal strength remains constantly at the level of 95/100%, while the quality fluctuates in the range (approx.) 50/90%, which causes pixelation and loss of audio and vision.

    Equipment owned:
    - WIWA hd-90 MEMO decoder
-Directional antenna MITON 1000 gain 15 dB
-CONOTECH NS100 TRISHELD 75 OHM coaxial cable (divided into two sections: on the balcony 2m + in the apartment 2m)
    - window passage

Reception from the Chwaszczyno transmitter (distance 12 km), but there are difficulties in the form of: an apartment on the 1st floor, an 11-story block blocking the direction directly to the transmitter, numerous trees in front of my block, and the general topography. It is for this reason that I decided to use this antenna.

I took these two photos within seconds.

The installation was installed in October 2016 and for several months (until February or so) it worked flawlessly, with time the disturbance increased, but I thought it might be the fault of the decoder that was defective. Yesterday I bought a new set-top box and unfortunately still the same.

The antenna is attached to the railing, I can't mount it otherwise because I have a balcony only on this side. At most, I can try to direct it towards Chwaszczyno, but a large block close to mine will rather drown out the entire signal.

What can I do in this situation? When I come back from work, I will try to get the ends of the wire outside and possibly try to adjust the antenna, but yesterday evening it did not bring any improvement. I also disassembled the box with the impedance plate and sprayed some WD40 on the contacts, but it was for nothing.

I noticed that the (passive) antenna was electrocuting. In the decoder, the power is turned off, there is no amplifier. Why is this happening?

I am asking for advice what I can do.

Below are pictures of the installation:

I would be looking for a problem here. Connect the cable lengths without a window transition with an F female / female connector with an open window. Analogue window transitions worked well, while in DVB-t it was different.

In my opinion, the problem with the location. Trees grew, conditions changed. Roof antenna.

Of course, this would improve the signal strength and quality for sure.

Removing the window transition did nothing. I connected a different cable for a short time, a new one nowhere and it is the same. Unfortunately, I can not throw the antenna on the roof ...

    welcome back

I probably solved the problem. I lost the cables again and set the antenna in a different direction. I almost certainly managed to catch some rebounds and although the quality is in the 100/60 range, so far the reception is very good.

Until I was surprised myself :D
