    Hello

I have a problem with updating the Firmware in the BCS-3104 recorder

I wrote to BCS and they sent me an update software that cannot be updated (the information System error in the management panel pops up)

does anyone know any other way to update the firmware on this device?
can a blockade be imposed on the above-mentioned updates?

I tried on several firmware and the same thing all the time

A colleague would write to you to indicate how you update (and not as you answered).

How did you name the update file after unpacking, etc. because some BCS recorders must have the appropriate firmware name (and not the name from the file you unpack).

    I answered correctly

ps files should have the extension update.bin

I have two files from the BCS Polska website, one bigger and one smaller

the larger one is named after the above firmware (I have 4 firmware versions), and the latter, the smaller one is update.bin

the update instructions are as follows:

    1. first we upload a larger file changing its name to update.bin
    2. after updating, upload a smaller file named update.bin

the problem is: I do not want to upload the larger one, and the smaller one goes normally ... the smaller one is an updater for the BCS graphics

Before proceeding with the software change, the manufacturer recommends restarting the recorder.

I suggest you try the second method of updating - via a computer network.

the recorder was restarted, the update does not want to work from the pendrive level, the Internet program also does not want to pass the update ...

so what's left? Telnet? programmer? hard reset?

I suspect that the firmware has been damaged (virus, hacker)

when installing the script (the method of logging in to the panel admin via the IE browser - IE only supports this script) the antivirus screams about Backdoor.Graybird
