    Hello

    Specification:
    Lenovo y50-70
    Processor: i7-4720HQ 2.60 GHz
    Graphic Card: NVIDIA GTX 960M
    Hard Disk: 1TB
    RAM: 8GB

For some year, during normal use, the screen suddenly turns all black and returns to normal after a while. About 6 months ago, I had 1-2 cases of stripes popping up on the screen during the game and I had to restart my computer. About a month ago, the "black screens" started to get worse and I had my computer cleaned and replaced. For a day or so nothing happened, then even though "black screens" started popping up much less frequently.
The guy who cleaned it said that if after cleaning the laptop will have what it used to be, it is best to sell it and buy a new one because it will most likely be a damaged graphics card and even if I manage to replace it, there may be other problems.
    I have 3 questions:
    1. In your opinion, it is a damaged graphics card, or can there be any other reason?
    2. If so, is it possible to replace the graphics card and is it worth it?
    3. If it's not worth it, at what price would you price this laptop?
    4. I was thinking about selling and buying a new one, the same, does it make any sense, if not what other purchase do you recommend (I use the laptop mainly for programming for studies and not only, sometimes when a game comes out that cannot be avoided, it is for playing) ?

    Regards and please help ;)

Fire up the furmark and give the temperature 10,000 FRAME
Of course it pays to repair
There may be another reason you need to diagnose

I downloaded it, did it and after 10,000 FRAME the temperature was 84 ° C. It is good or bad ? Everything was fine on the screen during the test.

So you are thinking about repairing, maybe you know a good salon in Wrocław? Because he does not want to go back to where the guest told me himself that if he does not improve, he will sell and buy a new one ...
    Added after 4 [minutes]:
As for the temperature, sometimes during the game I had a problem with the fact that I had a hard time pressing the keys under my left hand (QWERASDF), they were so hot.
Even while watching anything, as I hold him on my feet, it's hard to hold out for a while.

In this model, the temperature under stress (furmark) at about 24 degrees of the room is about 76-80 max and does not grow, today it is cool and you have 85 degrees - cooling done wrong, I'm not saying that proper cooling will repair the laptop, probably not. I have no friends in Wrocław, look for someone who will give you at least a year's warranty.

This is a relatively new Ideapad y50-70 model from Lenovo on the LA-B111P rev. Platform?
    i7-4720HQ (SR1Q8 on-board) / or i7-4710HQ / i5-4210H
    * dc-dc cpu TPS51631A

    - HM86 chipset
    - charger BQ24737
    GTX 960M (N16P-GX-A2) + 4GB RAM
    - graphics chip power supply (on 3 phases) approx. 0.91V
    - memory power 1.35V- 1.4V

This is what the plate looks like on both sides

If the keyboard keys (QWERASDF) are heating up ... then
-see which side you have USB ports from
-then "transpose" it to the disc> either the bottom or top with a prock (as is the disc inserted into the housing)
    - what heats up without dismantling will come out (warranty?)

It comes out that the processor is heating up. , not graphics.

Yes, this is exactly this model, unfortunately I do not have a warranty anymore.
A friend recommended the website to me, praised it a lot and said that they would fix everything. After a telephone conversation, I found out that I would have to pay a maximum of PLN 615 for the repair of the laptop.
Now I wonder if it is worth packing money in this laptop or selling it and buying a new one. I am most afraid that, just like with cars, I will fix it and something will break down again, because the laptop is already 2 years old. I will have to pay for the repair again ... What do you think, it is worth spending and repairing it or will it be a Sisyphean job?

    greetings

They did not check the cooling on the website?
