    Hello all,
Today I turned on my Lenovo y50-70 laptop and the screen went pink on it and you can see the images that were previously displayed on the screen
This also happens in the BIOS and on the boot string "Lenovo". I suspect it may be a damaged matrix, because the image is normal on the connected monitor via HDMI.
Where can I find a compatible matrix with this model and what is the best choice?

    I found two such options

    1: LG LP156WF4 (SP) (L1)

    2 :. AU Optronics B156HAN01.2

    Which one to choose?

Refrain from replacing the matrix itself. You have the symbol on the back on the sticker when you remove the screen.
    First, replace the matrix wire.

Unfortunately, I do not have such a cable to test.
But when I move the screen, nothing happens.
Is it worth buying such a cable at the beginning?

    Start with the wire.
The possibility is also that the BGA chip is already fixing.

I replaced the matrix with a new one (AU Optronics B156HAN01.2) and after the problem.
    Thanks for the answers

    Hello!
My screen has turned pink, so I will also have to replace the matrix, tell me how with the colors on the new matrix? It's better worse? They write that there is no such good image quality on the replacement.

In my opinion, this replacement is better than the factory-fitted one. The colors appear more vivid and the viewing angles better.

And how with the new matrix? Everything works? Have the problems come back?

It is very similar with me, but the screen is greenish and there are images from the previous day at the start.
During the previous days I sometimes had single white stripes, e.g. when rewinding films, etc., as there was a jump and a quick change of the image. Is that something with the motherboard though. When switching cards, it is the same, only slightly different colors.

After the exchange, everything is fine so far. Earlier, I also had a problem with the flickering screen and white horizontal stripes appearing. Now none of these problems occur.

I'm just going for a new matrix and I hope it will help :) because the motherboard is a bigger problem with laptops. Something this model is faulty, because I have read so many bad opinions about it and the problem with flickering ...

I have another question for you. Earlier, this matrix that broke. It was Full HD IPS? Any other?

yes it was Full HD, IPS. Anyway, the same matrix model as mine.
The matrix has been replaced with a new one and so far everything works fine. The colors seem even more vivid than the old one, I do not know if it is better or worse from the point of matrix quality, but in this one I see imperfections in the photos, e.g. on the faces of people in the photos, which I did not pay attention to before because they were not so visible. If only it would not turn out after a short period of time that this is something wrong with the motherboard and that is why the matrix crashes. At the point where I bought a new matrix, as I showed that you can see the history of what I already did when starting the computer, they said that they have been working with matrices for so many years, and they have not seen anything like that yet :)

I have been fine for 3 months and I hope it will stay that way :)
And I will ask out of curiosity what matrices did you buy?

also matte IPS. And as for the specific model, I do not know if it is some trash or not ... to be honest, I did not think about it, I just took what was in Krk right away to see if it was really just a matrix. I paid 240 zlotys for it. Choosing the Right Matrix for Lenovo y50-70: LG LP156WF4 (SP) (L1) vs AU Optronics B156HAN01.2IMG_201712...172013.jpg Download (3.25 MB)
