    Hello.

The TV in my children was damaged, i.e. it turns on but the lack of image, sometimes surprises and turns on normally, today after several dozen attempts no image response. LED is on, tv responds to the remote control. It looks as if the matrix did not get a signal when it turned on to start. Latest firmware uploaded: http | www | sharp | eu | av | pl | product | 4040-2 | 32-2 | lc-32che4042e / h32ch4042eb13v | (I can't send links)

Unfortunately, now when connected, the pendrive does not want to update again - probably because it already has the latest.

    I found something here: http | remont-aud.net | dump | lcd_pdp_tv | sharp | sharp_lc_32che4042e_shassi_main_board_tp_ms3463s_pb711 / 290-1-0-45450, but I don't have access.

Gentlemen, will you help? :-) Thanks!

Does it mean image and sound? And on this Russian site what did you want to see the motherboard for?

It turned on, but without a picture, I do not know how with the sound, so far this fault has occurred several times - the diode works, signals the remote control, but the TV does not turn on the screen. I think it is because after a period of inactivity without a signal source, after some time the diode changes to standby. As for the RU website - there are some files there, I was hoping for an older firmware, maybe there would be an automatic update with pen. At the moment I do not want to update, overwrite the same firmware.

As I wrote, tv worked normally, sometimes it got him, but he returned after a dozen attempts to turn on / off to normal. Today I don't want to move on with the screen.

And how do the LEDs illuminate the LEDs?

Rather not, black image, you can not see any screen reaction when pressing "power" on the remote control. The diode reacts and changes color.

But I wasn't talking about the matrix, but about the matrix backlighting. Did you remove the cover from the back?

I didn't take off (I'm a woman) - tv is under warranty. I know about firmware updates etc., but technically I can cook dinner, do the washing, ironing, etc. :-) I am looking for a possible solution before I take the tv to the site - the children will stay without it for a long time and there will be despair ;-(

As I wrote, I do not see any signs of matrix backlighting, as in the case when it turned on normally and the Sharp logo was on a black background (then the backlight was visible).

And I am so sorry. It is in this case that I offer a warranty service. I greet you ;)

You're welcome. Thank you for trying to help. Maybe somebody has some "older" firmware (the latest one is uploaded) to try to upload it and maybe something will start? At this moment, after inserting the pendrive with the latest firmware and turning the power on / off, the diode signals that it sees usb and firmware, but the update process does not start (no flashing diode) - in my humble opinion I do not want to update the firmware on the firmware in the same version, because the checksums are the same.

It used to help him once - it was the same situation, I upgraded via usb (power off / on) from v1.12 to v1.13 (newest) and tv got up.

Nothing will move because there is no matrix backlight. If there is a TV under warranty you can not do anything because your friend will lose the warranty on the TV.

Playing with the software sometimes makes the situation worse than I eliminates, the reason is somewhere else. And the fact that he got up after a change is just a coincidence. Because the situation repeated itself, so I advise you to return it to the Warranty Service.

    Hi

A few days ago I updated my Sharp tv (LC-32CHE4042E) from v1.03 to the latest v1.13 and the image turned 180 degrees and colors became weird. I may have installed wrong version. Does someone here have the v1.03 so I can downgrade? My tv is 32 inches.

I would be SO happy if someone could help me through this. /J

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Sharp LC-32CHE4042E TV that powers on but displays no image, with intermittent functionality. The user suspects a matrix signal issue and has attempted a firmware update to the latest version (v1.13) but is unable to revert to an older version due to the current firmware being recognized as the latest. Responses suggest that the lack of image may be due to a failure in the matrix backlighting rather than a firmware issue. Several participants recommend utilizing warranty service for repairs, as tampering with the software could void the warranty. Another user shares a similar experience after updating their TV, resulting in image distortion and seeking assistance to downgrade the firmware.
