    Hello!
I need a detailed gearbox adaptation / initiation instruction.
After the clutch is replaced, no gear is engaged, "N" flashes after ignition.
The car fires but no reaction to the gas pedal, only slow revolutions. Does this fault have something to do with the lack of adaptation of the box ???

If nothing is broken during the exchange, then adaptation remains. An intelligent tester or technician is needed.

Adaptation, the driver does not see the transmission. Launch will do it. One question, are you sure you have put a hold on this box? Unfortunately, it differs from the usual, also priced ...

the box was removed without putting into service and this is the main mistake. The clutch actuator is probably not right because it was definitely unscrewed from the box. It is possible to adapt this box without a diagnoscope only with the aid of a gear shifter but I do not get it too complicated.

After several dozen hours of torture with manual adaptation.
The initiation / adaptation of the ECU and the clutch moved immediately, the problem was with the adaptation of the box. After the bad adaptation of the chest, there is no icon from the chest position and no response to the gas pedal. Disconnection of aku for a few hours and from the beginning until the effect. Without a tester, it can only take much longer and nothing can be omitted in the procedure with the gear shift lever.

I used to try the lever a few times in my life and never managed to do anything. I'm reprimanding for patience because I'm over the top.

The answer is simple. In this situation, we do an adaptation. If the N is still flashing, it means that you need to adjust the clutch actuator, or actuator, so that it pushes harder on the fork to push the clutch in harder. In the Toyota Auris, you have to push as far to the right as possible. If still nothing, you can push lightly on the fork with some kind of rod, move the actuator and tighten. I'm sure it will work.
Instructions from calibration can be found if you have a problem.
I insert the cable into pins 4 and 13 and we wait about 10-15 seconds. We turn the ignition switch. We wait again for about 10 seconds. We quickly press the brake pedal a minimum of 7 times until the computer beeps. We shift the gear lever into manual. Minus 4 times, holding the brake all the time.
We return to neutral. Let go of the brake. Press in once. The computer beeps again a few times. Release the brake and press 3 times quickly. The computer should beep several times. Switch off the ignition.
Wait a minimum of 10 seconds. Remove the cable from the pins. Turn the ignition without firing up and without the brake. You should hear the gears changing. Wait for about 50 seconds after turning the ignition. Then turn the ignition off and start the car with the brake pressed. N should flash a maximum of 3 times and illuminate permanently.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the adaptation process of the Toyota Auris MMT gearbox following a clutch replacement. Users highlight that if the gearbox is not properly adapted, it can lead to issues such as the "N" indicator flashing and no gear engagement, despite the engine starting. It is emphasized that an intelligent tester or technician is necessary for proper adaptation. Some users suggest that the clutch actuator may not be correctly positioned, and manual adaptation can be complex and time-consuming. A link to a resource for adaptation instructions is provided, and one user shares their experience of successfully adapting the ECU and clutch after extensive manual attempts.
