I confirm, set TP-Link as AP and connect LAN-LAN. Address on MR-3420 in the B525 range, e.g. 192.168.8.2, disabled DHCP server on it. WiFi channel different than on B525, network name on AP the same or different. Encryption and password like on b525.

I will connect to the question because I have a similar problem. I have TP-Link TL-WR740N and Huawei B525s-23a. I would like to bind them together like the author of the thread, but in such a way that the DHCP server is TP-Link - Huawei has a very poor configuration, and I have an IP reservation on TP-Link and I would like it to stay that way. How to do it?

I have a question about this topic
I have two routers. The main B525 from which I have internet and TP-Link TL WR740 from which I want to make an Access point client, and then connect to it with a TV cable in the other room.
To do this, I have to upload a new soft, and I cannot do it without entering the settings. I connected the TP-Link to the B525 with a cable and connect to Wifi (with the TP-link).
Despite a successful connection, I cannot enter its configuration. 192.169.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 do not work
But 192.168.8.1 works, which opens the B525 configuration for me.
What to do to connect to this TP-Link?

And what is the signal level from the main router in this room with the TV (without at least -50dB, there is no need for a stable link).

First this and please insert a photo from the wifi network measurement in the place where this TPLink should be.

Why do you connect the WR-740 to the B525. You configure it and change the FW to an alternative one by connecting it via LAN to the computer, address 192.168.1.1, no internet access needed. The wireless bridge (AP Client) is best to configure on a Gargoyle, what version (revision) of the WR-740?

Tomorrow I will take a measurement and post a photo.

I did it at the beginning, I connected the LAN to the computer but I did not want to open any page with the configuration. I tried different addresses 192.168.0.1 / 192. 168.1.1 / 192.168.0.10 etc but none fired. So I decided that you probably need the Internet for this.

Rather, the settings of the network card in the computer if the DHCP server on this TLink is broken or turned off.

I checked the signal strength in the room where the router is to be. It came out -75dBm. I understand that this is a poor result. I am only surprised that at the router itself I only have - 29dBm. Picture below

Ok, so what do I have to change to run this configuration?

First, in the Network Center, click on change network settings, select the LAN card (local connection) and double-click and select properties. Select the IPv4 protocol and uncheck the use of the following address and enter 192.168.1.100 and OK. Now log in to WR-740 at 192.168.1.1 and change FW on it to AP Client, e.g. https://dl.eko.one.pl/gargoyle-pl/attitude_adjustment/ar71xx/gargoyle-1.6.2.2 -ar71xx-tl-wr740n-v4-squashfs-factory.bin and you can configure a wireless bridge on Gargoyle http://serwer1332159.home.pl/pub/Poradniki/poradniki%20sieciowe%20-%20inne/TP-Link%20TL- WR1043ND% 20-% 20Gorgoyle% 20-% 20Bridge% 20Wireless.pdf Routers side by side when configuring the bridge

The lower the value, the stronger the signal and the higher the weaker.
It can be difficult to get a stable link.

I restarted the router to factory settings and was able to enter the configuration. Configuration made according to the guide and everything flashes nicely. Many thanks for the link.

I will test and see how it will break, you will have to pull the cable. Thanks for the help
