    Hello,
I have a big problem with my home network. I changed the signal from radio to optical fiber. I got a new Huawei Echolite HG8546M router from the supplier. It worked until the technician left. WiFi problems started later. Sometimes it worked on all devices, sometimes on selected devices. Generally, the provider ignored the problem without solving the problem (I think that Huawei has a whack WiFi, and they are not obliged to provide the signal via WiFi only via the cable) and telling me to connect the existing router to Huaweia. I connected the TP Link TL-WR841N via the LAN port (because earlier on the radio they changed the settings so that I do not go to WAN). Everything was fine until I bought an iPhone that caught WiFi once and not - all other devices worked great.
I wanted to change the settings, but I cannot get to the TP Link configuration panel in this configuration. I read somewhere that you need to reset it completely. I did it and now it turns out that I have neither access to it (I do not know the WiFi password on it), nor does WiFi work for me and I have to sit connected to Huaweia with a cable to have a network.

I am asking for help how to connect these two routers with each other so that everything works, how to configure it, how to get to the TP Link settings connected to Huaweia, etc. Should I connect the TP Link to Huaweia via WAN or via LAN.
I do not have access to Huaweia's settings because only the provider has them [/ B]

Call the provider to put Huawei into bridge mode, and then connect TP-Link over WAN. I don't remember TP-Link's IP but maybe 192.168.0.1, or possibly tplinkwifi.net

Reset the TP-link to factory settings, then connect "only" to the TP-link and configure as in the guide. At the very end, you connect the devices.

I reset the TP Link, I connected my computer with a cable via LAN 2 and although I enter 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.0 I cannot connect to it. Every time I have a connection timeout.

Did you check if you got any address from the router's DHCP?

Configuring TP Link TL-WR841N with Huawei Echolite HG8546M for Stable WiFi on All Devices

This is what I have now

    Added after 22 [minutes]:

Okay. I changed the network cable and it went. I changed and works WiFi again.
Now there is also a problem with the iPhone.

How do you have to set TP Link so that it does not disconnect the iPhone from WiFi?

Set the radio parameters on TP-link rigidly without AUTO (channel, bandwidth, security).

In the "WiFi Security" tab, WPA2 / AES / PSK should be displayed

In contrast, newer core devices have a few bugs (or sooner intentional non-compliance with the standard so that customers can push overpaid Apple network devices) in the implementation of the DHCP client. Due to these errors, Apple devices do not automatically obtain an IP address when connecting to the network. The solution for "ordinary" users is to enter the IP address manually or update the Huawei router software (it will not necessarily work, because not all manufacturers want to break their devices at Apple's dictation and deviate from the standards).

The Huawei update is out of the question because the internet provider has access to it and they probably won't do it themselves. Besides, all devices take the WiFi signal only from TP Link. Should I set the IP address on TP Link? If so, where? What is this address? I have a fixed IP number assigned by the provider.

A colleague spoke above about entering addresses permanently in the configuration of the phone or device from Apple (ip, mask, gateway and DNS).

Aaaaaaaaaaa. Ok. I will look at my phone right away and see if you can enter it anywhere.
    Thanks

FAQ

TL;DR: Follow 3 steps for stable Wi‑Fi: reset WR841N, configure AP, connect LAN‑LAN; use 192.168.0.1; "Call the provider to put Huawei into bridge mode" when you need WAN. iPhones may need a manual IP. [Elektroda, makosuu, post #17378370]

Why it matters: This helps home users pair a Huawei HG8546M with a TP‑Link TL‑WR841N for consistent Wi‑Fi across all devices.

Quick Facts

When should I use the WAN port on the TL‑WR841N?

Use the WAN port only after your ISP puts the Huawei HG8546M into bridge mode. Then the TP‑Link becomes your main router. Without bridge mode, avoid using the TP‑Link WAN port. Ask the provider to enable bridge mode before changing cabling. [Elektroda, makosuu, post #17378370]

How do I connect the TL‑WR841N to Huawei without ISP changes?

Use Access Point mode and connect LAN‑to‑LAN. Disable DHCP on the TP‑Link and set a LAN IP that fits the Huawei subnet. Then all clients get addresses from Huawei. This avoids conflicts while extending Wi‑Fi. [Elektroda, jimasek, post #17378341]

How do I configure the TL‑WR841N as an Access Point (AP)?

  1. Reset the TL‑WR841N and log in to its web UI.
  2. Disable DHCP and set a LAN IP in the Huawei subnet.
  3. Connect Huawei LAN to a TL‑WR841N LAN port, then set SSID and password. These steps place the TP‑Link in AP mode for stable Wi‑Fi. ["TP-Link FAQ 417"]

I can’t reach 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. How do I access the TP‑Link?

Reset the TP‑Link to factory settings. Connect only a computer to the TP‑Link via Ethernet. Configure it fully before reconnecting other devices or Huawei. Access the web panel and finish setup first. [Elektroda, jimasek, post #17378373]

How do I check if my PC got an IP from the TP‑Link?

Open Command Prompt (cmd) and run ipconfig. Look for IPv4 Address and Default Gateway. If you see values, DHCP is working. If not, check cabling and the router’s DHCP status. Reconnect and test again. [Elektroda, makosuu, post #17378436]

Could a bad Ethernet cable block access to the TP‑Link?

Yes. The original poster fixed repeated timeouts by replacing the network cable. If the interface won’t load, swap the Ethernet cable. Try a different LAN port as well. This simple step restored access and Wi‑Fi. [Elektroda, Nestorb, post #17378443]

Which Wi‑Fi security settings should I use?

Open the Wi‑Fi Security tab and select WPA2/AES/PSK only. Avoid TKIP or mixed security modes. This improves compatibility and stability on many devices. “WPA2 / AES / PSK should be displayed.” [Elektroda, IC_Current, post #17378743]

Which radio parameters should I set instead of AUTO?

Set channel, channel width, and security explicitly. Avoid AUTO for these parameters. Fixed settings reduce disconnects and roaming instability. Apply changes, then test your devices again. [Elektroda, jimasek, post #17378486]

My iPhone connects but shows no internet or IP. What now?

Some Apple devices have DHCP client quirks with certain routers. The practical workaround is to “enter the IP address manually.” Set IP, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS on the iPhone. You can also ask the ISP to update Huawei firmware. [Elektroda, IC_Current, post #17378743]

What address or URL do I use to reach the TP‑Link setup page?

Try 192.168.0.1 first in your browser. You can also try tplinkwifi.net. If both fail, reset the router and connect directly by cable. [Elektroda, makosuu, post #17378370]

How do I avoid IP conflicts between Huawei and the TP‑Link?

Configure the TP‑Link in AP mode and disable its DHCP server. Check for address conflicts between devices on the network. Keep only one active DHCP server to prevent addressing issues. [Elektroda, jimasek, post #17378341]

What Wi‑Fi speed and band does the TL‑WR841N support?

The TL‑WR841N is a 2.4 GHz 802.11n router rated up to 300 Mbps. This is the PHY link rate, not guaranteed throughput. ["TP-Link TL-WR841N Product Page"]
