    Hi,
I looked through the forum but unfortunately I did not find a similar topic. I would like to add that I am green in these matters, therefore some questions may seem pointless.
I have a Huawei B525s-23a router from T-mobile. I had a prepaid internet connection in this router. Unfortunately, the limit started to piss me off, so I decided to opt for LAN fiber. Today they connected this internet to me, but unfortunately when I plug the cable into the Huawei router, nothing happens. Is it possible to somehow configure it with the LAN internet? Do I need to buy a new router unfortunately?

Thanks in advance for all answers.

Administration panel in the router and set the WAN port.
The WAN is under the LAN4 port (if I remember correctly).

Would you be so kind and write where exactly is the tab with these WAN and LAN4 settings?
    Thank you in advance

I looked through all the tabs in the control panel and the words "wan" and "lan" appear only in the "device information" tab, as below. However, you can't edit anything there. Huawei b525s-23a router from T-mobile and connection of another LAN provider

This is the pain-castrated B525 from T-mobile. The Germans deprived it of RJ11 and USB (they are blinded) and the WAN function on the cable. Normally in Huawei it is possible to set the WAN port as Ethernet and this tab should be in FW. If it doesn't, you won't use it for wired internet.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the Huawei B525s-23a router provided by T-Mobile and the user's attempt to connect it to a new LAN fiber internet service. The user is struggling to configure the router to accept the LAN connection, as the router appears to lack the necessary WAN settings. Responses indicate that the B525s-23a model has limitations imposed by T-Mobile, including the absence of WAN functionality for Ethernet connections. A suggestion was made to check the administration panel for WAN settings, but it was confirmed that the router's firmware does not support this feature. The user expressed gratitude for the clarification and indicated the topic could be closed.
