    Hello

I am trying to configure the recorder to be able to remotely access it via the internet. I have an Orange Funbox 2 router and variable IPs, but I will deal with the DDNS server later. IPox recorder.
I assigned the recorder fixed IP 192.168.1.101 and the settings as below:
Access to the ipox recorder via the Internet. Orange Funbox 2 and IP variables Access to the ipox recorder via the Internet. Orange Funbox 2 and IP variables

I entered the router settings, the port forwarding tab and set it up as below:
Access to the ipox recorder via the Internet. Orange Funbox 2 and IP variables

Every time I go out and enter this tab, the router changes the settings itself to the following:
Access to the ipox recorder via the Internet. Orange Funbox 2 and IP variables

And now I do not know how to set the UPnP tab and ports in the recorder, if I have UPnP enabled, do I have to set port forwarding in the router at all or not, generally in the router the UPnP tab looks like this:
Access to the ipox recorder via the Internet. Orange Funbox 2 and IP variables

What I want to achieve is to connect to the recorder via a browser by typing: 83.xx.xxx.xxx:8080, but I have already tried various configurations and with the recorder I can only connect to the local network 192.168.1.101:8080

And more precisely, what model of the recorder?
Orange blocks ports - contact with Customer Service, explains a lot how you find a smart one.

And you have a P2P "cloud" in the recorder, use it.

He would meet the conditions of the department's regulations and he would get an answer.

And here you should write a big STOP.

You bought an IPOX recorder - i.e. the distributor is alarmtech - napad.pl
As far as I know - good technicians work there and will certainly be happy to advise you on how to configure this recorder.
It will go faster, you will be happier.

Because currently it is more of an unnecessary waste of our and yours time.

If I missed any point of the regulations, I apologize.
The recorder is iPox Pro. I understand that I could install the program and connect through this program, but I do not have physical access to the computers from which users will connect to the recorder.
On the no-ip.com website, I set up a ddns server, from the router and the recorder side I have a connection to the domain. My problem that I cannot deal with is unfortunate port forwarding. I called BOK Orange, the guest said he had no knowledge of such specialist topics. He offered me to call 0703xxxxxx Orange Ekspert, but you know, the cost of the call is 2 PLN / min, and no guarantee will help.

So make your call until you find someone who has a brain and can do more than just reading template charts.

I would officially report it as an attempt to stretch the costs. No "expert" is standard procedure, only as I mentioned the person on the other side of the cable must have a brain.

There are also medicines for this, now remote access is not a problem.

But BOK orange will not really help you, only technical support at napad.pl :)

They will do it faster, advise. I really recommend that you call us on Mon.

After a whole day of figuring out, I finally got together. Tips what I did:
    1. In the neostrada login (login@neostrada.pl/ipv6) I removed the ipv6 ending (it was the key to the puzzle)
    2. I have disabled UPnP on my router and DVR.
    3. In the recorder I set the following ports: HTTP: 8080, data port: 6036, RTSP: 5554 (both the ports and port numbers may differ depending on the recorder)
    3. And I just redirected these ports in the NAT / PAT tab in the router
    4. I have set up DDNS on my router and DVR (it generally comes down to rewriting login details and host name from the DDNS service)
    5. Done, you can connect via http: // hostname: 8080

The only drawback of all this is the fact that the same DDNS service provider must be visible in the drop-down list of both the recorder and the router. Therefore, I do not know why and how to use the DDNS server provided by iPox for clients, since I cannot configure such a DDNS in the router later (where I can only choose commercial services, e.g. no-ip.com, dyndns.com e.t.c)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around configuring remote access to an iPox recorder via the internet using an Orange Funbox 2 router with variable IPs. The user assigned a fixed IP to the recorder and attempted to set up port forwarding, but encountered issues with the router automatically changing settings. Suggestions included using the recorder's P2P cloud feature and contacting technical support from the distributor, alarmtech. After troubleshooting, the user successfully disabled UPnP, set specific ports (HTTP: 8080, data port: 6036, RTSP: 5554), and configured DDNS on both the router and recorder, allowing for remote access via a hostname.
