    Hello,

I have had problems with the internet for some time (3 months after signing the contract).
First of all, there is an absolute inability to experience the luxury of watching a YouTube video without refreshing the page - buffering always freezes. Facebook videos don't play at all.
The second thing, at least twice a day, the ping (in Overwatch) jumps from 44 to 200 ms, the internet stops working for ~ 2 minutes, after some time it returns to normal.

I am not a computer illiterate, but I am networked for sure, so I will throw away all the information that may be relevant, even if I do not know what it actually means:

    1) Connecting via cable (directly to Funbox) and wifi makes no difference, tested 3 computers on windows 10 and 7 and phone on android.
    2) The contract is for 300 Mb upload and generally sticking to it, one-digit pings on the speedtest
    3) IPv6 disabled
    4) Optical transmit signal level (dBm) 2.52
Optical receiving signal level (dBm) -19.87
    5) No errors according to FunBox 3.0 (in FTTH and Internet tabs)
    6) Nothing but 2 PC is connected to the modem
    7) Can't see lost packages with normal youtube ping

The phone call for technical support will rather be the last department, by the way, I can guess how it will go.
At the moment, I do not have the password to the neostrada account, because I did not sign the contract, which also discourages me from making calls (the guest who signed the contract will not call). Therefore, I have not yet restored the modem to factory settings or tried to update it.
Of course, I tired of the funbox with resets many times without any effect.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Since you tested on 3 computers and both the cable and WiFi the results are identical, then without contact with the operator it is unlikely that the question is whether they are able to do something about it.
Alternatively, ask your neighbors using the service if they have similar problems as you, although I bet they do.

This is where you should start. Funbox3 sometimes has its own "moods" and it is best to restore the factory settings by performing a reset with the button on the housing. The router will take the login and password for neostrada itself, so you do not need to configure anything. Only the name of the wifi network can change - there can be one common name for 2.4 and 5GHz. This can be separated again in the router's panel.

    Are you sure?
    My FunBox cannot do that.

Problems with the operation of some websites, e.g. YouTube, result from poor routing in Orange and probably everyone has experienced it / is experiencing it.

Interesting fact - the connection with the neighbor (upstairs) who has UPC is set up by Frankfurt.

FunBox 3 certainly can - tested on their own, probably two too. Orange has made it easier for users some time ago by introducing such a fancy. For the sake of safety, you can always save the configuration to a file and restore it if necessary.

However, my FB3 cannot do this, unless the configuration has been saved beforehand.

Funboxes 3.0 should download the settings from the machine after the reset, as it does not get the current reset and possibly again to the factory.

Yesterday I was configuring ADSL on Funbox 2 for my brother-in-law. After a reset in a row, he downloaded the settings, ie login and password for authentication. Nothing was written. I also confirm.
It has long been known that YT in Orange is not a strong point: https://trzepak.pl/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=60593
I do not know if you will play something now, but it would probably be a better ONT + Funbox 2. Then you put it in the closet and put your router.

Time to get used to. Orange introduces speeds of 100, 300 and has even recently migrated customers from 600 Mb / s to 1 Gb / s. For what? And so that advertisements could justify slogans like "Network number 1". Orange has declared speeds only for its servers. But forget about YouTube and other streaming servers, the crap that Orange proposed 10 years ago, and today only the transmission medium has changed. It used to be bad for copper, today it is bad for optical fiber.
Just such French modernity :) I have a connection around 80Mb / s and it is really good for all speed tests.
And every movie I watch, I have to see it and make myself a cup of coffee. Even stupid YT videos are annoying. Fortunately, from May I will not tire anymore.

    and nothing is self-complementary ...

maybe this autocomplete comes from the browser?

FAQ

TL;DR: Seeing ~80 Mb/s on tests but YouTube still buffers? "Time to get used to," one user notes. This FAQ helps Orange Światłowód + Funbox 3.0 owners diagnose streaming stalls and ping spikes. [Elektroda, Jawi_P, post #17742874]

Why it matters: It quickly pinpoints ISP routing vs. router faults so you know what to fix and who to call.

Quick Facts

Why does YouTube buffer on Orange even when speed tests look fine?

Users attribute it to Orange routing. “Problems with the operation of some websites, e.g., YouTube, result from poor routing in Orange.” One case even routed traffic via Frankfurt to a nearby neighbor, showing suboptimal paths. [Elektroda, vito007, post #17742564]

Should I factory‑reset Funbox 3.0 to stabilize the link?

Yes. “Funbox3 sometimes has its own ‘moods’,” so start with a hardware factory reset. The router then retrieves the Neostrada login and password automatically. You may only need to adjust Wi‑Fi names or band separation afterward. [Elektroda, pl_chris, post #17742175]

How do I factory reset Funbox 3.0 and let it reconfigure?

  1. Press the reset button on the housing to restore factory defaults.
  2. Let the router reboot and auto‑fetch your Neostrada credentials.
  3. Reopen Wi‑Fi settings to rename or split 2.4/5 GHz if desired. [Elektroda, pl_chris, post #17742175]

Will Funbox 3.0 auto‑fill my PPPoE/Neostrada login after reset?

Yes. “FunBox 3 certainly can — tested on their own.” Auto‑provision removes the need to type credentials after a reset. [Elektroda, pl_chris, post #17742735]

What if my Funbox 3.0 still won’t auto‑retrieve credentials?

Edge case: some units do not auto‑complete after reset. “However, my FB3 cannot do this, unless the configuration has been saved beforehand.” If autofill fails, have your credentials ready to enter. [Elektroda, vito007, post #17742792]

How long should I wait after a factory reset for auto‑configuration?

Give it several minutes. As one member advises, “leave the device on its own for some time, it should surprise you in several minutes.” Do not interrupt the process. [Elektroda, seb235, post #17743435]

Does switching from Wi‑Fi to Ethernet fix this?

Not in the reported case. The issue appeared on three PCs over Ethernet and Wi‑Fi, plus an Android phone. That points away from local radio problems. [Elektroda, Fapcry4, post #17741383]

Will disabling IPv6 fix buffering or ping spikes?

Unlikely here. IPv6 was disabled in the reported setup, yet YouTube froze and ping spiked to 200 ms with brief outages. [Elektroda, Fapcry4, post #17741383]

Why are speed tests fine but streams stutter?

Speed tests hit well‑peered servers, but streaming follows other routes. One user saw ~80 Mb/s on tests, yet videos still paused. “Even stupid YT videos are annoying.” [Elektroda, Jawi_P, post #17742874]

Which firmware version was reported on Funbox 3.0?

Users in this thread reported SG30_sip‑en‑02.10.31.17 on Funbox 3.0 while diagnosing issues. Firmware helps compare behavior across units. [Elektroda, vito007, post #17743102]

Does Funbox 2 also auto‑download credentials after reset?

Yes. A user confirmed Funbox 2 on ADSL auto‑retrieved login and password after a reset. “Nothing was written. I also confirm.” [Elektroda, internick, post #17742866]

Should I contact Orange or check with neighbors?

Yes. If multiple devices show identical faults, involve the operator. Also ask neighbors if they see similar issues to gauge a wider problem. [Elektroda, seb235, post #17741418]

After reset, why did my 2.4 and 5 GHz merge into one name?

Funbox may unify both bands after reset. “There can be one common name for 2.4 and 5GHz.” You can split SSIDs again in the router panel. [Elektroda, pl_chris, post #17742175]
