    Hello.

I bought a Denon AVR 2113 receiver and an Optoma 27HD projector.
How to connect the projector so that the sound comes from the receiver and not from the projector?

Thank you very much for help.

I know it can be weird but not everyone understands it. When I connect my computer to a TV there are no markings, only 1 HDMI and everything works. Here I have an HDMI cable connected to input 2 on the projector. In the receiver, I threw it under every channel - but there is never sound, that's why I write.

    I finally got the answer:

Unfortunately, the HDMI connector on the projector is an HDMI input, so you can't send anything through this connector. You can output audio using the JACK (audio out) connector.
    Pity and thanks for help

Hmm, something's wrong with me ...

When the computer is connected to the amplifier and the HDMI output on the amplifier to the projector's input:

    - no sound at all?
    - is the sound in the computer speakers?
    - video passes without a problem?

Having connections as above , please check the audio card settings on your computer, i.e. check that
which audio device is currently the default device.
    There's a sign there.
It is advisable that the computer plays a movie at this time.
Is this computer a "tin" or laptop?

hello - I send sound from computers / phones via Chromecast to the projector.
Sound is currently being output from the projector (built-in speakers)
I mounted the projector with an HDMI cable - but no sound is made in any setting.

This answer I got from boys from omawiamy.pl - where they described this projector (youtube)
Unfortunately, the HDMI connector on the projector is an HDMI input, so you can't send anything through this connector. You can output audio using the JACK (audio out) connector.

Well, there is no need to "pull" the sound out of the projector.
In particular, if we are talking about a wired connection.

But if a colleague does not deign to answer the questions asked to solve this problem, well ...
Only you can wash your hands ...

I do not quite get it - so you can send a sound?

nowhere near connectors does the ARC description appear (also in the projector's manual)

    heh ...

The goal is to get a picture on the projector and sound in the home theater, right?
If that's the goal, then there is no need to deliberate over "pulling" the sound out of the projector.

There are other routes to achieve this effect.

ok - can you expand what you mean with other options?
We are talking about a specific projector (Optoma 27 HD) and receiver (Denon AVR 2113)

    Thanks

I know, I read this topic carefully.

I could, but to check them you need cooperation.
I posted an entry (# 10) and I do not see an answer to it so far.
And some information is necessary to solve this problem.

But the options I mentioned only apply to wired connections.

    OK - here all data.

When the computer is connected to the amplifier and the HDMI output on the amplifier to the projector's input:
The image is transmitted through Chromecast - only the projector - receiver is connected to the cable.

    - no sound at all? -> Sound is only output from the projector
    - is the sound in the computer speakers? -> NO
    - video passes without a problem? YES

Having connections as above , please check the audio card settings on your computer, i.e. check that
which audio device is currently the default device.

Well, I asked a specific question:

    I received the answer:

    Sound card OK

In such cases, I want to help.
I do not intend to "get" the exact answer from the author - I wrote about it above.

I wish you success in solving the problem.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting a Denon AVR 2113 receiver to an Optoma 27HD projector to ensure sound output from the receiver rather than the projector. Users suggest using an HDMI cable for video and audio transmission, but it is clarified that the HDMI port on the projector is an input only, which does not support audio output. Instead, audio can be routed through the projector's audio out (JACK) connector. Participants emphasize the importance of checking the audio settings on the computer and ensuring the correct audio output device is selected. The conversation highlights the need for proper configuration and understanding of the device connections to achieve the desired audio output.
