Hello, I do not know if the question is in a good section, please move in case of problems. I stumble on various topics related to it all the time, but I can't find a uniform and consistent answer. Can I play with a 3.5mm jack to listen to music, e.g. from a smartphone or mp3? from e.g. using: Gembird Jack Stereo 3.5mm audio adapter can someone explain it to me and write or explain how it can be done or bought? thank you greetings

You won't connect with this adapter, you can try to connect via usb otg sooner but I doubt the phone will detect the headphones. The headphones work via USB and are installed as a separate audio player, and the 3.5mm jack output is an analog output.

    No, it's ordinary USB OTG

Because from what I understand, you want to connect headphones with a USB plug to your smartphone?

Here someone is testing such a solution, first the adapter you wanted to buy is shown, but it does not work.
Here also, usb otg works, so there is a chance, although these are only movies on YT so it can be different.

It probably depends on the phone, but the standard is as in USB 2.0 max 500mA with USB OTG.

Remember that the phone must support OTG otherwise nothing will happen. The easiest way to check this is to plug in a FAT32 flash drive.

Check if the phone supports OTG 100%, connect a pendrive to the phone via this OTG adapter. Of course, it is first necessary to check in the phone's specifications whether it supports.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the compatibility of the Razer Kraken USB headphones with a 3.5mm jack adapter for use with smartphones and MP3 players. Users express uncertainty about whether the Gembird Jack Stereo 3.5mm audio adapter can facilitate this connection. It is clarified that the Razer Kraken headphones operate via USB and are recognized as a separate audio device, making direct connection through a 3.5mm jack unfeasible. Suggestions include using a USB OTG adapter, but compatibility depends on the smartphone's support for OTG functionality. Users are advised to check their phone specifications and test with a USB OTG device, such as a FAT32 flash drive, to confirm support.
