    ladies and gentlemen
I messed up something with the port setup, and I'm asking for help. I explain:
    - Huawei EchoLife HG8245 router, connected to the optical fiber of the local Internet provider
    - fixed IP, of course not for free
    - local, home network with several devices connected to the LAN (console, TV, NC + setopbox, PC) and two APs for mobile devices.

I am often away from home and traveling on business. Sometimes something happens to the network that requires me to log into the router remotely, reset the network. All in all, once a month someone called me that "Dad / husband, do something because I'm allowed to go netflix" "
Then I entered the external IP number of the router in the browser, the login page was shown to me, I entered the router and worked.

A week ago, I installed the HIKVISION DS-7204 CCTV recorder at home, to which cameras are attached showing the area around the house.
The recorder management and preview can also be done from the web level.
Because I wanted to be able to remotely manage the recorder, in addition to making the appropriate settings in the recorder software, in the router settings I created the transfer of ports: 80, 8000, 554, and 443 from external connections directly to the internal IP of the recorder ... Anyway, I did it as described on HIK Vision website.
Remote access to the recorder works. Exactly. It works too well.
This is because now after entering the external IP of my router (even without the port number) I am directed directly to the recorder website.
Looks like I "opened one port too far" ;-)
    Now the question:
    1. Does fixing this require me to log into the router after returning home from inside my LAN.
I want to close these ports again. It turned out that HIK Vision offers a great Hik-Connect service that allows me to remotely access the recorder without opening these ports.
    2. Or maybe there is a way to ignore this redirect and let me view the router's website directly.
Thanks in advance for your help.

You need to change the HTTP port in the recorder, i.e. 80 to another, e.g. 8080 and redirect it in the router.
As for Hik-Connect - it is useful when we do not have a public IP (e.g. LTE internet).
Helpful post? Buy me a coffee.

I have had the same cable modem for several days and I want to be able to log into it remotely for the same purpose as you AdalbertBu, I have a request for help how to set up remote access in this modem?
The basic manual does not provide this knowledge.
At support.huawei, com, there is info only for enterprise, that is XML via "ONT VAS profile: what I won't do because it's probably only for cable TV.

I have a fixed IP and a purchased IP service in the public domain. This allows you to log into the modem remotely by entering the public IP number.
