I have one more question, the bester purchased in castorama had a description of the tig lift function, but on the manufacturer's website it says that it has tig scratch functions http://www.lincolnelectric.com/en-pl/Equipment/Pages/product.aspx?product=B18254 -2 (LincolnElectric_EU_Base) does anyone know what the truth is and what is the difference, and will my bester generally be good at tig welding?

    Hello
This welder uses handles with a gas valve in the handle, for example: Link .
There is a lot of it on alledrogo :) .
TIG LIFT or scratch is the same. Ignition occurs by touching the material and moving the electrode 1-3 millimeters. The welding current increases to the value set on the panel. The disadvantage of this method of ignition is burning the tip of the electrode in the workpiece. You have to sharpen the electrode much more often.
Find out more by google on the web.
