    Hello,
I have a question about the electronic handbrake.
I wanted to turn it off so that it does not pull automatically when the car is stationary, I read it in the manual and I know that it is possible but with my equipment version (MONOCHROMATIC SCREEN A (WITH RADIO)) the instruction refers to the dealer. Now my question is whether it is possible to disable the same after connecting to the computer? As for the computer program, I'm thinking of buying sdprog or MaxiEcu.

You won't do it 100% like Lexia can.

I just wasn't sure what I read if these programs could handle it.

Both programs are probably under ELM327, and before you connect only to the engine, so how do you want to deactivate the brake?

Is there any program to connect to the main car computer? If it is, I would ask for its name and location of the attachment.

You will get cheaper in ASO. You need an interface along with the program. Plug in through obd.

OBD is it not for engine diagnostics?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the possibility of disabling the electronic handbrake in a 2012 Peugeot 3008, specifically for models equipped with a Monochromatic Screen A. The user seeks to know if this can be achieved through computer software, considering options like SDprog or MaxiEcu. Responses indicate that while these programs may not fully replicate the capabilities of Lexia, they are likely limited to engine diagnostics and may not access the main car computer necessary for disabling the handbrake. It is suggested that a dedicated interface and software are required, and that visiting an authorized service organization (ASO) might be a more cost-effective solution.
