Hello, the problem is as in the subject, the car generates a communication error with the NOX system, The electronics and the probe have been replaced with a new one, initialization of the replacement of the probe with Diagbox has been carried out, the fault appears immediately after turning on the ignition, Supply voltage 12v, Ground and Can are fine (voltage and signal) .

The car is: Peugeot 2008 1.6 blueHDI from 16.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue??

    Hi.
Did you manage to solve the problem?
I have the same case - Peugeot 301.
The same problem. Communication error with the NOX controller.
Changing the probe with the controller, checking the installation (no short circuit, 12v voltage, no break).
Car connected to KTS and communication error with the NOX controller - no matter what I do, the same error number and description.
Connected to another tester (at a colleague's) shows - communication error with the NOX "B" controller.
And now the best: When I completely disconnect the probe (with the controller), the second error appears: Communication with the NOX "A" controller.
The exhaust system has only one probe and controller, so????
    Is it an Adblue tank?
Also, I can't start the engine. The on-board computer shows the message: Fault in the exhaust aftertreatment system - starting impossible.
The car has (apart from the Adblue tank) a tank for eolys fluid (as in older vehicles).
The problem appeared after the urea tank ran out - of course it was replenished at the petrol station.

    U029E Meaning
The reductant system uses two nitrogen oxide (NOx) sensors to monitor the amount of NOx in the engine exhaust. The first sensor is located at the outlet of the turbocharger and monitors the NOx level in the engine. A second NOx sensor sits between the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and monitors NOx levels downstream of the SCR. The second NOx sensor also provides the engine control module (ECM) with information about the oxygen level in the exhaust gas during DPF regeneration.

There are two possibilities, or one of the sensors is damaged, or the wires connecting the above-mentioned sensors with the engine computer. It won't be cheap. If you do not replace and turn off, there may be problems with the FAP, so I advise against cheap alternatives to this repair.
And sensors can cost well over PLN 1k depending on the brand and version.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a communication error with the NOX system in a Peugeot 2008 1.6H BlueHDI, specifically error code U029E. The original poster has replaced the NOX probe and performed initialization with Diagbox, yet the error persists immediately upon ignition. Other users report similar issues with different Peugeot models, such as the Peugeot 301, indicating potential problems with the NOX sensors or wiring. One user notes that the exhaust system has only one probe and controller, raising questions about the Adblue tank's role. The second NOX sensor's function in monitoring exhaust gas during DPF regeneration is also highlighted. Suggestions include checking for damaged sensors or wiring, with a warning against cheap repair alternatives due to potential complications with the FAP system.
