    Hey

I have such a problem in the apartment, that in the building I have a gas plate that is placed in the worktop and underneath is to be placed oven. However, the gas valve coming out of the plate is in the form of a bend and only connects to the hose. It protrudes so much that the oven casing is not underneath.

Do you have any idea how to solve it? Can I change the valve in the plate for something more flat?

I am still wondering about the electric board, but it is an old block and I do not have 3 phases at my disposal and in addition I have no idea in what condition the electrical system is.

There is no valve in the plate, only a 1/2 "external thread, and this thread is screwed in. You can, of course, unscrew the elbow and screw in that hitch, but if it changes something, then probably the hose will be too short.

That's how I used the wrong term.

The hose is quite long and there is a lot of room for the actual valve in the wall. Is it possible to replace it with another hose (the one for sure is quite old) and fasten it without the elbow with the possibility of it leaning against the casing of the oven?

You can mount a new hose for your safety, although it is not too cheap ...
If it is long enough to be screwed directly on, bypassing the elbow, then you can do it.

    Gas stove under warranty?
The thread that comes out of the oven looks unscrewed. It would be best to remove the masking sheet.
You need to check if the plate has a gas connection elsewhere.

I have the same problem. How did you deal with it?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the installation of an electric oven beneath a gas stove, where the gas valve's protrusion prevents proper placement of the oven. Users suggest that the existing gas valve, which has a 1/2" external thread, can potentially be replaced with a flatter hose connection to avoid using an elbow fitting. Concerns about the safety and condition of the gas hose are raised, with recommendations to consider replacing it for safety reasons. Additionally, users inquire about the warranty status of the gas stove and the possibility of alternative gas connections on the stove.
