Hello, I have a prepaid card in Orange and actually it is still IDEA (sim is about 15 years old - it has never been exchanged). Theoretically, everything works, but there are strange anomalies, namely the quality of conversations is sometimes unacceptable: echo, crackling, tearing words. The second drawback is that when someone calls me, it happens that they hear: "The user has switched off the phone or is out of range" and I know that I had coverage then because I had the phone in my hands. With a real lack of coverage I would receive a text message that someone wanted to contact me but there is no text message at the time. On the old phone, such circuses took place so I think the phone's fault, so I changed it and for half a year there was peace and again "paranormal" phenomena. I read that the sim may catch some errors and this can cause problems. The first time I hear about some errors I was of the opinion, if the card logs in, everything with it is 100% ok but I think I was wrong? Did someone have something similar that theoretically "functional" sim card was to blame? Soon I will go to the operator, I hope that he will replace the card for free?
    PS
With this quality of conversations, I normally became paranoid and began to blame and diagnose the calls of family members. I tested the phone replacement (3 different models) for 1 person in the family and there was no significant improvement (while I cleaned the phones for others). This card what I have is the old generation so maybe you need a more modern one today? The card is old but even somehow Orange did remotely that LTE works without changing the card.

    Hello,
a year ago I also had a sim card. Immediate exchange at the salon without any costs.
I had a problem with the coverage on the old card. After replacing everything ok. In addition, all new phones are micro / nano sim and I had a full SIM and did not want to cut it.
Regards and advise you to replace the card as soon as possible.

Did you also have Orange? I have the card trimmed to micro but it works. The card has been developed after all these years and various phones, so this may be the reason. When I took it out yesterday it has improved a bit but it is not an effective solution because one day the problem will come back.

Yes, my card was also from Orange and actually it was a yellow IDEA. There were problems with coverage, sometimes the caller could not hear me or I could not hear the caller. Removing and inserting the card also helped, but only for a short time. After replacing the card, these problems resolved.

The "competent" lady in the Orange salon had to call BOK to ask if she was allowed to issue a new card for free? They exchanged the card for free. How will the quality of connections prove?
New card in 3 sizes standard with adapters and of course there was a problem. The nano card is thinner than the rest and the threshold causes the card to hook in the slot (cannot be removed) I will have to try to get a better micro adapter and somehow get it out in a free moment. I do not want to break the sockets in my BB z30 because hooking the sim in the adapter is very popular in this phone model and very often people damaged the sim sockets. The culprit is the unfortunate 3 pins I hope that inserting a thin sticky note from the pads side will help free the sim.

I need to look for an adapter with a blind hole, which will eliminate the notch resulting from the difference in thickness.
