Hello, I bought a samsung970 evo nvme m2 disk and after inserting it into a socket, the computer does not detect it in bios, it can not be seen either. It only shows SSD Kingston on which I have a system and one from HDD. There was no CD in the set. Do you need any drivers for this drive because I do not know what to do. I have a W-7 system

The entry "Disk Format M.2 2280" appears - everything looks like the main board supports this format. Try to update the motherboard BIOS.

Bios updated. Somewhere in there, this alw disk appears in windows, it can not be seen. I wanted to clone the system on this new drive but I can not because windows can not see it. In general, I think I confused something in the bios because for a moment there was not even a system disk visible. But already ok. As for other settings, I do not know. Once I could do a bios screen and now I can not :(

Thanks to I have already cloned and installed the system thanks to samsung data migration and uploaded NVM drivers 3.0 expres.
But as for the speed of action, I am very disappointed, unless you have to set something else. it is slower than the current Kingston ssd

Topic summary

The user reported that their Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2 SSD was not detected by the BIOS on a Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H motherboard. After confirming the SSD model (MZ-V7E250BW), it was suggested to update the motherboard BIOS, as the board supports M.2 2280 format drives. Following the BIOS update, the SSD was recognized in Windows, but the user experienced issues with cloning the system and noted disappointing performance compared to their Kingston SSD. They eventually managed to clone the system using Samsung Data Migration and installed NVMe drivers, but continued to seek advice on optimizing performance.
