Hello, I bought a skode octave 2002 1.9 tdi AGR and I have a problem with it, namely the car has no power, after connecting the computer, zero errors can be heard that the turbine is walking because it is whistling but the car does not collect, I will add that the vacuum is after downloading the tube. I have already bought such a car that it did not want to go and I do not know when it is so. How to start looking for what could be wrong?

Try to swap the turbine control solenoid valve with that of EGR, they are identical only one is black and the other is white.

Maybe the turbine drain valve is not closing (seized). If you have the opportunity, try to move it, e.g. with a key.

Check the pipes from the "interkulator" to the turbine, they may be leaking. Turbine whistling can also be disturbing. Check the possible impeller clearance (turbine to be repaired, replaced), because it may rub, which may damage the blades, and consequently damage the engine.

So, in search of the cause, I came to the fact that I do not carry a pear at the turbine at all, but after releasing it, it only starts to move as if it was not released in the turbine, it does not even go hard to move it. Is it possible to do anything with it or just to replace the turbine?

Basic question. Are you trying to move it in the car or do you have it unscrewed and in your hands as shown in the photo?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around troubleshooting a 2002 Skoda Octavia TDI 1.9 AGR experiencing a lack of power and a whistling turbine. Initial suggestions include swapping the turbine control solenoid valve with the EGR valve, checking the turbine drain valve for seizing, and inspecting the pipes from the intercooler to the turbine for leaks. The author reports black smoke when revving the engine and notes that the turbine does not seem to engage properly. Further inquiries focus on whether the turbine is being tested in situ or removed. A final suggestion points to a potential issue with the flow meter.
