    Hello,

I changed the flat and I would like to buy a new TV set and then hang it on a hanger in the niche. The previous owner took his TV off and left such a hanger as in the picture with mounting screws. I see this for the first time.

How should I hang the TV on such a structure? Are new tvs adapted for this type of hanger? Or maybe I just need to buy some mounting part for this system?

The second question is that the recess is 115 cm wide and 73 high. It will easily enter 40 inches. The question is will enter 43 or more? Do I need some slack when mounting to "insert" my hand? Will I be able to mount the tv even as its frame I will be at a distance of 1 mm from the sides of the niche.

    Best regards,
    Luke

The shorter you screw into the upper Vesa holes of the TV, the longer - the distance - into the lower. You hang on the upper ones (the notch goes into the "ears" of the catches on the bar). You don't need a lot of "slack" to hang - you hang like a picture (as much slack as you need for an "eye"). The matter of the weight strength of this strip.

    Hello
The VESA standard TV mounting has 4 threaded holes, in the upper one you screw in two short screws with a split sleeve, in the lower ones with a uniform sleeve.
In the hanger you have handles with a "teardrop" hole, slide the upper handles into them and lower them down, the hole narrows down and protects the handles from falling out, the lower screws set the distance from the wall.
The TV in such a hanger can be tilted to insert cables, which is a great advantage over "ambitious expensive" hangers in which the insertion of the cable requires removing the TV from the wall.

Check which disc the cabinet back is made of, will it support the weight of the TV?

    Thanks for the answers.

I still have a question for me. Do I have to follow any specific Vesa mount standard when choosing a TV (see picture)? So in fact I have fixing screws and I don't have to buy anything anymore?

    Best regards,
    Luke

Here you have a photo and plate thickness. I think it is quite solid.

Pendants from what you can see are adjustable (sliding horizontally) - if so, the size of the attachment does not matter.

EDIT: it is important that the top holes on the TV are distant enough from the top edge of the receiver so that it can be fixed in the recess without lowering the strip (the bottom from the bottom also)

Thank you. The recess was made six years ago under 40 inches, but then there were still quite wide frame receivers. The question is whether knowing the dimensions of the recess and dimensions of the TV will be able to estimate in the store whether the TV will enter. I wonder how much in cm I need clearance from the sides of the recess (from the side, top and bottom). 5 cm 10?

The maximum distance of the upper VESA holes on the TV from its top is the same as from the top of the recess to the center of the large hole in the pendant on the rail. It is enough to measure the recess and go with the ruler for the selection.

EDIT: Measure the distance from the center of the large hole in the pendant to its lower end - this is the distance as long as the TV "settles" after hanging from the hole, that is, it takes so much reserve from above that it hides in the niche when hanging.

EDIT2: The easiest way - screw these screws and spacers into your current TV, hang them and you will see what this "myk" is all about and how much supply you need to hang it efficiently.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the compatibility of a new TV with an existing wall hanger, specifically focusing on VESA mounting standards and the dimensions of the recess where the TV will be installed. Users provide insights on how to properly mount the TV using the existing hanger, emphasizing the importance of the VESA hole alignment and the need for sufficient clearance around the TV for installation. Recommendations include measuring the distance from the top of the recess to the mounting holes on the TV to ensure a proper fit, and considering the weight support of the hanger. The conversation also touches on the potential for tilting the TV for easier cable access and the necessity of checking the structural integrity of the cabinet back.
