    Hello,

I have a question about the Afriso four-way valve actuator. The actuator is connected to the Defro Komfort Eko boiler controller, also the actuator is controlled by the boiler. Please let me know which option is correct because I have a problem adjusting the valve for the boiler.

Option 1 used by the installer. During the ignition process, the boiler controller opens the valve (the valve is on 10 - information on the boiler controller: 100% open) so that all the heat goes to the installation and radiators, and only after heating the house the actuator begins to close (from 10 to 0) and some hot boiler water is led back to the boiler. This is how I set it now, but it bothers me that if all the heat goes to the installation at the beginning, only cold water from the installation passes to the boiler return (the valve is open for installation, but closed again).

Option 2 I am thinking about. When firing up the boiler, the valve should be closed (0), thus the hot water from the boiler returns to it by return and only when the temperature rises on the boiler, the valve will start to open (from 0 to 10), whereby the hot water will get to the radiators a little later but the return will be warmed up all the time.

I would ask you to dispel my doubts.

Boiler manufacturers recommend a minimum return temperature of 50-60 ° C. Option two is in my opinion correct. You can read about low temperature corrosion link

The boiler must reach a temperature of 60 degrees as soon as possible. that is firing up on a short cycle and gradual heat transfer to the object.
