Opinions about the Romet Chart 210 motorbikes and karpary 2 (v50m engine).

    Hello
    I have the option to buy a Kart 210 for PLN 1,700 (registered with the entire history of sale and purchase agreements and insured) and a Karpaty 2 motorbike with a v50m engine for PLN 1,200 (without papers).
    What is the issue of failure, availability of spare parts, convenience (after what time your back starts to ache), how much oil should be changed in the gearbox and how often there is "misfire" in the Shorthair 210 and the Carpathians 2.

    I am placing it here because I did not find the appropriate section.

    Greyhounds are quite rare, there are few parts, but not too many, when it comes to back pain, the Chart is more convenient than the Carpathians, the Soviet invention also has its advantages and disadvantages, but in my opinion is it not worthwhile for 1200 PLN, with parts for The Carpathian Mountains it depends on whether you have someone who goes beyond the eastern borders because there is a lot of it at ridiculous prices.

    Both devices are not very common and the parts are different (rather poorly). Secondly, it is not known what condition they are in, age means that parts will be needed sooner or later.

    The chart I am looking for is completely renovated, it was dismantled into the first parts, including the engine, cleaned, painted and composed of two (the second parts were selected in the best condition) I know because I talked to the seller, the Carpathians are 100% complete but it is not known do they have any hidden foci of corrosion somewhere (they have not been dismantled). I looked at the Allegro and generally parts such as the cylinder, piston, rings, clutch discs, gearbox components, seals and greyhound bearings are made today and are not expensive.

    Do you want a "monument" for your collection or utility equipment? If utility, why not get interested in some modern Chinese Romet or another Zipp? You have electronic ignition, 12V installation, electric starter and a whole lot of readily available spare and tuning parts.

    As above, both of these devices can only be treated as a long-term capital investment, rather not too much. Better to choose something contemporary if it is going to be a means of transport.

    The fact that this one has no documents does not mean that it cannot be registered as a monument.
