    Hello,
I noticed a few days ago that drops of water appeared on the elbow of the air intake pipe. It is not dependent on the weather. This usually happens when the stove heats the tap water in large quantities (e.g. when using the shower). What could be the reason for this?
The DeDietrich MCR 3 stove is in the bathroom and the whole chimney is about 2 m (0.5 m vertical exit from the furnace, elbow, 1.5 m horizontal pipe with a slope of about 2-3% towards the furnace passing through the wall. Since installation (2 years ago) nothing like this happened.

    thank you

The most condensate from flue gases is produced in the DHW boiler mode, because it works at full power.
The leak indicates that the internal flue pipe is leaking. Probably wrong installation and the seal has collapsed. The condensate gets into the intake pipe space.

I undressed and that's how it was. Thanks a lot. I will replace the gasket myself.
I still have a question about servicing this furnace. Is if nothing happens. Is there a point / need to call a service technician every year for a review? He has been coming for the last two years, but it costs PLN 300 / visit.

MCR3 has an aluminum silicon exchanger on the surface of which aluminum oxides settle in the form of a white coating, which can be relatively easily removed, e.g. with a brush or a brush. Such a procedure is performed by a service technician during the inspection. If you give up cleaning then the white coating will turn into corundum which will weaken the heat exchange and which is harder than the exchanger itself and practically impossible to remove. Therefore, in my opinion, it is worth doing reviews. I omit such obvious aspects as safety, higher efficiency or reliability of a regularly serviced boiler.

To do the mcr3 review you have to take out and rebutter the exchanger ALWAYS hence the prices of inspections if the service technician does not do it i.e. does not demolish the half furnace then the cash for the review dumped in the mud, if he pulls out the exchanger then stick to this service technician because many others go to the easy way and then I need such babole correct and listen that the furnace hu .... y because despite the service still has failures.

I understand that the translation of the service technician that you do not need to clean because the stove is new (2 years) and the parameters come out perfect, does not change the fact that it has to be cleaned / re-sized. Thank you and I'm ordering the website right away.

So you finally pay for the review and this furnace is very easy to kill, that even with a mole sometimes or vinegar you will not easily dissolve the sediment so as to break through the "saber" if someone does not pull the exchanger, the price should be 150-200 zeta and these 250-350 pay just behind the heat exchanger.

Thank you for help and advice. If you service these furnaces around Krakow, I invite you :) .

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the appearance of water drops on the elbow of the air intake pipe of a DeDietrich MCR 3 condensation furnace during high hot water usage. The user suspects a leak in the internal flue pipe, potentially due to improper installation or a failed seal, allowing condensate to enter the intake pipe space. Responses emphasize the importance of regular servicing to prevent issues such as sediment buildup on the aluminum silicon exchanger, which can lead to reduced efficiency and increased maintenance costs. The necessity of cleaning and inspecting the furnace, even if it is relatively new, is highlighted, with recommendations for finding a reliable service technician.
