    Hello.
I would like to compare two Dahua Wi-Fi IP cameras.
    DH-IPC-HFW1320SP-W- 0280B Wi-Fi, 3.0 Mpx 2.8 mm vs. DH-IPC-HFW1235SP-W-0 280B Wi-Fi, 2.1 Mpx - 1080p 2.8 mm

Which transducer is better? The 3mpx camera has 1/3 "Progressive Scan CMOS, and the 2mpx has 1 / 2.9" Progressive Scan CMOS. Which one is better at night, where there is not much lighting? IR30 meters it is known that it will be about 15m - that's enough. The camera will work in Full HD anyway. Other IR LEDs are also used in the 2Mpx camera. I invite you to discussion.

If the camera will work in fullhd mode then take 2 megapixel. She has a more sensitive converter (imx323) by 10-20% than the 3 megapixel (imx124)
They both have a similar lens ...
Unfortunately, these are not the most sensitive transducers for this resolution and if there is not enough light at night they will have to artificially lengthen the shutter - which will reduce the function of better identification.
These 15 meters are too much for them and at this distance you will see at most .... A figure.

I have a similar problem, I just wonder mad 2 MP and 3 MP only in Hika cameras (New Easy IP3.0 series). I don't know exactly what transducers there are but comparisons show that 2MP sees better than 3MP at night. I do not know how to display the image, but these 2MP look better in FullHD, these 3MP are square and not rectangular. Can the view from the 3MP webcam be scaled and will it still look natural ??

2 mpx picture format is 16: 9 and 3mpx is 4: 3. I would say that 3mpx are more square than rectangular :) . But all in all you said in mathematics that every square is a rectangle. ;)

that's exactly what I meant, I described it a bit lamely. What is better ?? i.e. 2MP or 3MP, what to choose?

PS does anyone know what exactly is sitting in the Hika cameras from the new Easy IP 3.0 series with the markings 3MP DS-2CD2335WFD-i and 2MP DS2CD2325WFD-I ??
