Hello gentlemen. I bought an Audi 1.8T, and actually my brother. I noticed that such a tee was stretched from the side of the bulkhead. It's about the cable coming out of the upper part of the engine, on the tee one cable goes to the intake manifold (it is unplugged from the tee and clogged), and the other flies to the bottom of the engine, but there is disconnected at the bottom of the elbow at the connection. Do you have any idea why this is done? I will add that yesterday brother low oil level indicator popped out, and that he had just bought, he went to change oil and filter. However, after driving about 160Km again, the indicator light is on again, the oil on the dipstick is not gone, but under the car there is a stain already. Unfortunately, I do not know exactly where the oil is leaking, because I do not see the car. The mechanic claims that the area around the valve cover is leaking, the brother says that it is around the filter, while the other brother says that it looks like oil under pressure is thrown around the filter. The car goes without problems, speeds up and reacts smoothly. Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Hello!
Since the seller sold the car with the carcinoma disconnected, it looks like an engine overhaul. From your description, it looks like scraping rings, valve seals, other seals, i.e. repairs. The pneumothorax in a good engine has a closed top with a bottom / bowl /. In your case, it will blow oil and smoke. Contact the factory that repairs engines. Check cylinder pressure, oil pressure, vacuum. And you can buy engine cleaning fluid yourself, wash thoroughly and see leaking places.

As for why the light came on - I understand that this is an orange watering can, it is possible that the oil level sensor is damaged. Just open the mask and you have peace of mind for several dozen kilometers after which the indicator appears again.

Gentlemen, thank you for the answers. I installed a new pneumothorax and everything works as it should, the old one probably crumbled from old age. The sensor actually needs to be replaced.
