Hello, I have such a question, I want to remove the oil pan in the Vectra C 1.9 cdti 150 km and from the gearbox side there is hard access to two screws. Is it possible to unscrew them somehow without unscrewing and retracting the gearbox?

Oh, or you have to put it there well and there should be no problems with it.

Hello, I was able to remove the oil pan and after removing it I noticed that on the oil pump in the middle of the engine that one screw was unscrewed completely and was in the bowl and the other was loose. Could this be the reason for the low oil pressure, because it was 0.5 bar at low speed and only 2 bar at higher speed and if you just screw these screws tight or do you remove the oil pump and check if there are no slack or is it worn?

After great hardships I was able to dismantle the oil pump and it turned out that almost all the screws on the pump, these stars on the screwdriver were loose. I have a question if I will turn them back or not they will unscrew them again, or just put on a second pump because I have already bought one.

Have you bought a new or used one? If new, put on, why undress twice.

In my opinion, the reason for the weak oil pressure was the unsealed oil pump because it was untwisted and lost pressure, but I would like to seek the advice of someone smarter than me who knows what to do with it. Do you turn the old one well and put it on or put on a second oil pump, and one more how much the connecting rods are tightened and with which crankshaft bearings.

    Tightening torques:

    Connecting rod bearing cover

    25 Nm + 60 ° 1)

    1) Use a new nut, fastening screw

Crankshaft bearing cover to engine block

    25 Nm + 100 °

finally I was able to heal my abutment :D the culprit of the low oil pressure was the pump, when the second one was fitted, the pressure returned to normal, thanks for all the advice and help

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the challenges of removing the oil pan from a Vectra C 1.9 CDTI 150 km, particularly accessing hard-to-reach screws near the gearbox. Users suggest using a long Torx screwdriver for better access. One participant shares their experience of discovering loose screws on the oil pump after removing the oil pan, which contributed to low oil pressure readings. They debate whether to re-tighten the old pump screws or install a new one, ultimately deciding to replace the pump with a used one. After installation, normal oil pressure was restored. Additional technical details regarding tightening torques for connecting rod and crankshaft bearings were also provided.
