    Hello,
I write a post on behalf of a friend. We are after the repair of Opel Astra F, we made a few repairs after tinkers who, among others, unplugged the LPG stepper motor, turning it into a screw, skipped the low charging voltage and the like ... Unfortunately, after repairs, while checking on gasoline, the check engine still lights up. After reaching the diagnostic connector, we managed to get rid of errors, but I think we have the wrong list of codes - once the lamp flashes 10 times in a row, which would mean the number "10", unfortunately we have a list of codes up to approx. 90, probably from a different engine version . A friend's car is a version with the Ecotec 1.4 16V engine, the diagnostic connector has 16 pins. I would like to ask for help in reading the codes from the movie, to which I link below. From what I can see, it didn't even display the standard code "12".

Edit: as you can see electrode moderation is always helpful - I dared to draw the moderator's attention, he closed the topic. Bravo! And the errors were read thanks to Opel Klub Polska and the user who wrote to me at PW after closing the topic - these are the following errors: 1405, 0400, 0443, indicating mainly damage to the EGR valve, according to the book. It was possible, but moderation preferred to puff up and close the topic.

    Movie:

    Or:

B0540, "Seat Belt Attachment Indicator - Malfunction"? I guess this is not the code, however, because the light comes on immediately after switching to petrol, it does not come on when driving on gas.

As I said, I'm not sure. And in the link you have given codes read by the gas brake method can try so.

So you can fasten most of the popular diagnostic devices. And the error when switching to gas? Nothing simpler - usually either bad injector or probe emulation. In other words, still printing ...

I do not have a device and I will not buy a friend especially, I just need to have my car ;) . Read with understanding, the error pops up after switching to gasoline , from LPG. And I don't think that it is a joke to restore a second generation car instead of a magic screw :)

Well, he writes about it, that they blinded something on gas so that it does not cause a frequent method among shitty mechanics.

So you are groping blindly - good luck. You can't flash codes in this car - otherwise "12" would always be the first.

Have you kindly checked the condition and scope of probe work? Any installation in an MPI engine with a catalytic converter other than at least the 4th generation is drudtery.
    I close the thread.

Even if you can shine them, asking for them to decipher - which is not difficult in Google, it would be good to count them yourself - do not show extreme laziness. So that the thread will remain closed. 3.1.17. Do not send very basic questions that can be found in the user manual or publicly available sources. Do not take the attitude that I deserve. Keep the level of questions and discussions. Thank you.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around troubleshooting issues with an Opel Astra F equipped with an Ecotec 1.4 16V engine, particularly focusing on error codes and problems related to the LPG stepper motor. The user reports persistent check engine light activation after repairs, despite clearing some error codes. There is confusion regarding the diagnostic codes, as the user believes they are referencing an incorrect list. Responses suggest that the flashing light indicating error codes may not correspond directly to the expected codes, and there are recommendations to check the condition of the vehicle's sensors and wiring. Some participants express skepticism about the quality of previous repairs and the methods used to diagnose the vehicle's issues.
