    Hello.

I'm preparing to buy equipment from milwaukee. I am interested in the M18 FPD screwdriver and the M18 FID impact wrench on the American market. Only other stickers look identical and are named differently. The case is also different but the parameters are identical to the power tool.
Someone knows if there are identical parts inside the equipment as in our European milwaukee equipment?
The price is very favorable to buy equipment from America. Quite a lot of people in Poland sell just such sets.

    Please, help me

    Hello!

They certainly won't be worse :) what is sitting inside is hard to say for me, I did not undress, I do not sit on the site, but it is likely that the same Chinese handles made components :) chargers from the USA should also be adapted to 230 ,.

Could you tell what row is the difference in price?

Such a set for europe in Poland is a minimum of PLN 2650 with a guarantee. And such a set, as we buy from a Pole, is PLN 1600 and guests also give a guarantee, but rather boot. One gave me six months. When calling the site, they don't know. What to do now?
Do you work in a power tool service?

I once heard somewhere that in some versions, other batteries are included, I mean capacity. On olx there are several new offers on which the EU plug has been changed :) In general, if someone has contact in the states, avoids taxes, he buys really cheaply :) https://www.cpomilwaukee.com/milwaukee-2897-2...ium-ion-1-2-in--hammer-drill-and-1-4-in--hex- impact-driver-kit / miln2897-22, default, pd.html

At today's USD 3.45 exchange rate it is much more favorable than in PL, and if someone pulls refurbished, which sometimes looks like new, it is just a business :D

I wonder what the gw looks like manufacturer, whether they consider the equipment exported :)
No, I don't work, I only service my own and friends machines.

Even looking at the pdf with parts these are different numbers for Europe and America but the preview image is identical. So you advise you to buy the USA version and not worry? In the charger, you need to cut one path on the board and replace the varistor with 250V. The equipment comes out much cheaper. Makita also has other names on the US market than on the American market.

I think I will also download something from Milwaukee myself, because for some time I have been looking for a small screwdriver, e.g. https://www.cpomilwaukee.com/milwaukee-2494-22-m12-12v-cordless-lithium-ion-3-8- in - drill-driver-and-impact-driver-combo-kit / miln2494-22, default, pd.html

Only now I will learn a little bit about how to download the cheapest :)
Not which chargers for devices are adapted for 120/230 V, others need to be modified as you write, I can not confirm what the transformation looks like in this particular charger I did not have in my hands, but even if you had to use a transformer, it's still a ridiculous price :)

In my opinion, the same product for the European market or the American market, in my opinion, they differ only in the serial number, but the American market has much cheaper equipment, but the equipment from the American market has no guarantee in the European market.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the comparison of Milwaukee's M18 FPD screwdriver and M18 FID impact wrench between the American and European markets. Users express concerns about potential differences in internal components despite identical external appearances and specifications. Price disparities are highlighted, with American models being significantly cheaper, but questions arise regarding warranty and compatibility, particularly with chargers. Some users suggest that while the products may have different serial numbers, they are fundamentally the same, although modifications may be necessary for European use, such as adapting chargers for voltage differences. The conversation also touches on the practice of companies using different names for the same products in various markets to control re-exportation.
