    Hello,

Does anyone know what the oil pressure ranges in the D20 engine are, exactly Man TGX 440 2011? what is the minimum

The pressure in two men is 1.8 BAR at 90 degrees at low speed and in one that I intend to buy is 1.8BAR at 80 degrees and I wonder if something is happening. The mileage is 700,000 km and oil changed every 100,000 km ...: /

Thank you for your response :)

0.1 bar may be an electrical sensor measuring error

Right, 0.1 BAR could be a sensor error. But after careful checking, the difference is 0.4 BAR at the same temperatures and speeds. For this I learned that the vehicle in question had changed oil every 100-140 thousand km :D And you know what that means :)

What does it mean? Good oil and nothing will happen-
Man on long life oil recommends changing every 90,000 km - I changed the oil several times well above 100,000 km - it seems to me that if the car was driven with a low oil level it would be a worse misfortune - the working temperature is about 1.6 maybe a bit more bar engine already has some course.

Unfortunately, I will not agree with you. Oil changes in these engines at 100-140 thousand km is a slow death and such an engine does not drive a million kilometers. If you want the D20 or D26 engine to live calmly 1.5 million km you need to change the oil together with the filter at a maximum mileage of 70,000 km. And these are not my inventions, just experience :)

Some time ago I talked with a guest from Minsk who is engaged in general repairs of these engines and said that these engines go to him at 700-800 thousand km and the reason for repairs are too long oil and filter change intervals.

For many years I have been practicing oil change every max 70,000 km and today the largest mileage we have in the Manga TGA d20 440km E4, today the mileage is 1320000km and the oil pressure at 90 degrees 1.7bar. I would like to add that we have several of them with mileage over 1 million and there have never been any repairs except pumps or injections, and the cars tug 24/7.

The oldest truth in the world - Whoever lubricates goes :D

I work on the man from the first car f2000 / tga with a single first injection - later tga CR full cab / tgx euro 4.5.6 - the first euro6 with us is almost 500,000 km, euro 6 with a scania box under 180,000 km.
Cars that do not have adjustable valves and changed oil up to 140,000 km - there were several on the site I am already writing about Euro 6 with scania gearbox - tga with over a million we have very few - there are several answers but why clutter the forum and ...
    From
800,000 problems arise in oil - oil not equal to driver's load, etc.
Note that leasing or leasing there is 5 years - somewhere between 400 and 700 thousand km and a car for sale - clutch, injections, 5 euro adblue dirty tank, pump, worn camshaft - 800 up etc. Large companies calculate it for themselves. The calculations also include the use of the vehicle in 1 place.
A small firemka cares and can change the oil even every 45 thousand km if it works in difficult conditions, but someone looks at profit? Conclusion - thanks to the fact that I see what is happening with the engine where the intervals of exchange are exceeded (very rarely due to the fault of the driver) these engines are normally turning to 700,000 km without problems.
41.5l does the job plus low speed / min.
And read my last sentence that you pasted -..... working temperature and pressure 1.6 bar may be a bit higher - if the motor is run the indication will be "a bit" smaller - at school I was taught that compressing and oil pressure are one of the most important determinants engine condition.

And what if the Tgx 440 E5 car reported a low oil pressure of 0.5 bar at 60 feet, and when you add gas, it goes down to 0.2?
Oil, condition ok, replacement every 50 thousand km. Oil pump ? the car does not smoke well, the fluid is ok, the oil is ok

Topic summary

The discussion centers on the oil pressure ranges and maintenance concerns for the MAN TGX 18.440 D20 engine from 2011, particularly at high mileage (700,000 km). Users report varying oil pressure readings, with one noting 1.8 BAR at 80 degrees Celsius and another at 90 degrees Celsius. Concerns arise regarding the implications of oil change intervals, with some suggesting that changing oil every 100,000 km is insufficient for engine longevity. Recommendations include changing oil and filters every 70,000 km to ensure optimal engine performance and prevent premature wear. Users share experiences indicating that engines maintained with shorter oil change intervals can exceed 1 million km without significant repairs. Additionally, low oil pressure issues are discussed, with one user reporting a drop to 0.2 BAR under load, raising questions about potential oil pump failure.
