    Hello,

I am going to buy a computer to play movies on Samsung UE75MU6102K TV.
It will be very good if 4K 60p full chroma 4: 4: 4 works
If there will be 4K 60p 4: 2: 0 that will also be enough
    4K 30p - out. FullHD 60p - also out of the question.

I already have an adapter cable: Club 3D DisplayPort - HDMI 0.15m Black (CAC-1070),
so in case of problems with HDMI 2.0, I can try DP1.2 as an emergency
The sound will probably go through a separate cable (analog to stereo), so here DP does not limit

Features of the computer that I care about:
    - completely silent (fans stand still) when CPU / graphics are weakly loaded
    - silent (slow fan movement) when loaded with long-term 4K 60p playback from the Internet (if the fans will turn on at all?)
    - if possible, a small and light set (I know that it contradicts the guideline quiet, but I'm looking for some compromise) (initially I started with the Fractal Design Define R5 case, but it's probably an exaggeration. I have Fractal Design Define R4 tested in another 4K60p set for PC and it's perfectly quiet, hence the idea to go this way)
    - if possible cheap, hence e.g. DDR3 and the processor in the old generation 4
    - at least 2 USB 3.0 ports

Currently, the set looks like this:

    Corsair RM750X 750W power supply (CP-9020092-EU)
    Cooler Master N200 case (NSE-200-KKN1)
    Asus H81M-PLUS motherboard
    Intel CORE i5-4460 processor, 3.2GHz, 6MB, BOX (BX80646I54460)
    Memory GoodRam PLAY 16GB / 1600 (2 * 8GB) CL10-10-10-28 - GY1600D364L10 / 16GDC
GoodRam Iridium Pro 240GB SSD (SSDPR-IRIDPRO-240)
    Gigabyte Radeon RX 550 D5 2GB GDDR5 (128 bit), DVI-D, HDMI, DisplayPort, BOX (GV-RX550D5-2GD) graphics card
    Raijintek TISIS CPU cooler (0R100001)

The operating system is probably Win 7, 8, 10 (Still wondering ...)

    Questions:
    1. Will the "Raijintek TISIS (0R100001) CPU cooler" fit into the Cooler Master N200 (NSE-200-KKN1) case?
    2. Can the "Gigabyte Radeon RX 550 D5 2GB GDDR5 (128 bit)" card display 4k 60p 4: 4: 4?

I am very curious about your comments.

If it is to be really small, quiet and energy-efficient, then the i3 / i5 from the KabyLake series (integra HD 630) + ASRock H110TM-ITX + 2x 4GB SO-DIMM 2400 + laptop power supply 19V / 95W. The housing as you like.
Connection via Displayport 1.2. Unfortunately, HDMI is only 1.4.
    Integrated graphics hardware decodes video in 4k (h.264, h.265, VP9, VC-1 formats).

Table showing hardware accelerated video capabilities for Kaby Lake (Gen9.5).

    ---

Another option (the computer may also be small) is a platform based on a relatively modern processor + low-profile GTX1030 / 1050.
These cards also have hardware encoders / decoders of the above-mentioned formats. Available with HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2 connectors.

The CPU fan is always spinning.
Making a silent movie computer is possible, but not necessarily cheap. I would go to the Palit GTX 1050Ti KalmX. Passive card, completely silent, because there are no fans. As for the housing, maybe we can fit into the Slim, SFF types. The size of the game console. You don't need a powerful processor, but it's still worth the investment in water cooling. Silent Loop 120/240 from beQuiet has a chance to be completely inaudible, and at the same time will fit into a tiny housing. The last issue is the power supply - SFX power supplies are mounted to such enclosures.
    What's your budget?

Regarding the fan - not true. I have a computer in which the fan on the processor turned on several times (where one such turning on lasted maybe 15 seconds), only during prime95 tests or long-lasting 4k 60p or 5k 60p playback
within 1.5 years of daily use.

Regarding water cooling, I have zero experience and will rather reject this option. What noise is the pump making?
Probably the pump has to constantly pump, even when the CPU is slightly loaded.

Please specify the SFX power supply, what exactly model do you mean?

I have some concerns with DP1.2
    I did the tests yesterday.

    Test for:
ASRock Z97 Extreme6 board (as DP output)
    i7-4970K processor
and mentioned in the first post: DP-> HDMI + TV Samsung adapter (UHD = ON for HDMI1 input)

    Chroma 4: 4: 4 didn't work (it was either 4: 2: 2 or 4: 2: 0)
And the maximum fps was: 30p

    Test for:
ASRock Z97 Extreme6 board (as HDMI output)
    i7-4970K processor
and Samsung TV (UHD = ON for HDMI1 input)

    Chroma 4: 4: 4 worked
But unfortunately still 30p (which I think is correct, because the graphics in i7-4970K via HDMI will not pull more than 4K 60p 24bit 30p)

    For the sake of clarity:
ASRock Z97 Extreme6 board (as DP output)
    i7-4970K processor
    DELL P2715Q monitor

    It seamlessly achieves 4K RGB24bit 60p

I have some suspicions that the DP-> HDMI adapter (first post) cannot cope with the built-in card ...

ASRock H110TM-ITX I can't see DP1.2, it's on the PCB and I need to lead it out with an additional cable?

Version 2.0 of this CD currently available in stores:

Very quiet computer for playing 4K 60p full chroma 4: 4: 4 on Samsung 4K TV

    "- Supports HDMI with max. Resolution up to 4K x 2K (4096x2160) @ 24Hz / (3840x2160) @ 30Hz
    - Supports D-Sub with max. resolution up to 1920x1200 @ 60Hz
    - Supports DisplayPort 1.2 with max. resolution up to 4K x 2K (4096x2304) @ 60Hz "

I had this board with a Core i5 processor - on a 4k monitor I normally had 60Hz, DP DP connection.
Although it can be different with the adapters ... The native HDMI 2.0 connector would provide greater certainty, i.e. the GTX 1030/1050.

In order not to have an unpleasant surprise, I will probably go in the direction of the graphics card.
Club 3D DisplayPort - HDMI 0.15m Black (CAC-1070) has good reviews, and here is such a prank.
I will try to run this adapter on the second TV.

Or maybe the fault is the lack of a special software? On the PC I currently have "Intel (R) HD Graphics Control Panel" and I set the resolution and fps there

I got a little interested in this cooling (bw002). The manufacturer does not provide the noise parameter of the pump. Do you know reliable websites / youtubers / vloggers that provide this parameter?

or dimensions to stuff tower cooling.

Raijintek TISIS (0R100001) tower cooling is OK for me, the question is whether it will enter the housing given in the post # 1

    Gentlemen:
Is the price difference between the GTX 1030/1050 and the Gigabyte Radeon RX 550 D5 2GB GDDR5 (128 bit) worth the extra charge? What are the most important differences between these cards?

Palit GTX 1050Ti KalmX is already an additional payment of PLN 300 - I took this card into account, but I got information from a fairly reliable source that in the case of GTX 1050 the fans stand still when watching movies.
So I plan to download plastics and a fan from the "post # 1" card and I hope it will not exceed 70'C
I'm not going to play new games ... and I suppose that the hardware support h264 h265 will significantly reduce the amount of heat generated

After pre-assembling and booting the BIOS / UEFI, it looks promising. There should be no problem with 100% silence.
I checked the Raijntek fan (4pin) from the cooling kit a bit, it is very quiet, it generates an even, pleasant noise, therefore, with more demanding operations (with a more heavily loaded processor) there is a good chance that the fan noise will be quieter than, for example, the noise of the surrounding city (with the fulfillment of appropriate conditions, including fan RPM value, listener's distance from the fan).

Very quiet computer for playing 4K 60p full chroma 4: 4: 4 on Samsung 4K TV

Graphics not installed yet, I don't know how it will be with "4K 60p full chroma 4: 4: 4"
