    Hello,

I have a laptop MSI GE60 Apache Pro:
    Intel Core i7-4710HQ
    16 GB RAM
    SATA 7200 HDD 1 TB + 128 SSD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M, + Intel HD Graphics 4600

I connect it with an HDMI cable to a Samsung 65ks8000 TV

and playing for example in Fife 2018 you can see an obvious decrease in quality, and the game can stutter. The computer is set for maximum performance and use of NVIDIA graphics, the game has also been optimized with the GeForce Experience tool. Such a problem did not occur with the old TV Panasonic 42 '.

Is there any possibility to improve computer work so that it "gives advice" when playing? Do you have any advice on what to set up or install some software that will improve it a bit?

4x more. But I agree with you, the easiest way to use scaling, overclocking 10% probably won't do much.

10% performance is a lot and you wrote it like it was nothing: p My GTX 1060 after turning the core to over 2100Mhz and memory of almost 500Mhz gains about 10% just from what I know my OC result when it comes to the core is above average .

The fact that the game defaults to a higher resolution would explain the decrease in performance, but the author also writes something about a decrease in quality?

In addition to the fact that there is a decrease in performance (the game runs smoothly), it happens that the quality of the displayed image deteriorates (it seems to me that this happens automatically to make the game smoother).

I changed the game resolution to a lower one and the game works much smoother. -> fact a little at the expense of graphics, but what to do.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the performance issues experienced when connecting an MSI GE60 Apache Pro laptop to a Samsung 65ks8000 TV via HDMI for gaming. Users noted a significant decrease in game quality and stuttering, attributed to the new TV's 4K resolution compared to the previous Full HD Panasonic model. Suggestions for improvement included lowering the display resolution on the laptop, disabling the built-in laptop monitor, and utilizing the TV's scaling capabilities. Overclocking the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M was mentioned, but it was noted that performance gains would be minimal (around 10%). The author confirmed that reducing the game resolution improved performance, albeit at the cost of graphics quality.
