Hi. I recently bought this cable allegro.pl/przejsciowka-adapter-usb-3-0-do-sata-dysk-hdd-ssd-i6974039677.html
And I wanted to connect the old drive from my computer to my laptop (WD10EZEX 1TB) but it doesn't work. Plug & Play was written next to the cable

    Windows 10
Sorry if I chose the wrong section.

It does not detect any drive other than the laptop one :(
After plugging the cable into the USB, you can't hear anything extra going on. : /

Topic summary

The user is experiencing issues connecting a WD10EZEX 1TB HDD to a laptop using an Allegro USB 3.0 to SATA cable. Despite the cable being advertised as Plug & Play, the drive is not detected in Windows 10. Suggestions include checking Disk Management for the drive's presence and noting that 3.5-inch drives require a 12V power supply, which the USB connection does not provide. The user confirmed that no additional sounds are heard when the cable is connected, indicating a lack of power or recognition. The cable is specified for 2.5-inch devices, which may explain the incompatibility with the 3.5-inch HDD.
