    Hello,

I have had problems with sound in games for a very long time. Namely, very often when you turn on the game, the sound turns off in it and does not work until the next start of the game, if everything surprises. It looks like the headphones are reset all the time because I have Team Speak3 turned on and I see that you turn the sound off and on for a moment, as if I pulled them out of the socket and put them in after a while. I will add that it is the same on other sockets, but I have no such problems with other equipment (Mouse and controllers). It often happens that only after a moment from turning on the game the sound cuts off (usually when starting or loading, e.g. objects). The most common problem occurs when I have the steering wheel (Logitech Driving Force GT) and start the game Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Then the headphones reset a few times, but when they get it, there is no sound in the game. On an old laptop and with other headphones, I also had a similar problem.

My current Lenovo Ideapad 700-15ISK laptop:
    Windows 10 64-bit
    Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz
    8.0GB RAM
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M
    Intel (R) HD Graphics 530

    Headphones: Steelseries Siberia 150

(In addition, I will also add old equipment that often had such a problem:
    Laptop: HP Pavilion g6
    Headphones: Creative Inferno
External sound card: Sound Blaster Play 2

All drivers are up to date. The format doesn't help. The laptop meets the requirements of the game, because apart from the disappearing sound everything works (sound also, but on the speakers)

Everything on USB. Perhaps a power problem or conflict,
    Try using DeviceCleanup.

In my opinion it's a headphones problem. Hardware problem. Move the headphone plug or cable. Check if anything is changing by moving the headphones.

So the sound disappears only from the headphones and is there in the speakers?
And on normal mini-jack headphones the sound disappears?

As I determined, these are USB headphones. Does moving the USB plug make sense - I don't know. In addition, he wrote:

I have another question - do these Steelseries Siberia headphones work properly on another PC?

I downloaded this program, but I don't understand what to check. Can I have some clarification?

I will add a screen, it may be useful.

Both the headphones and the steering wheel are USB. Moving with a cable or plug does nothing.

I mean, it looks like the headphones reset several times as if I pulled them out and put them back in the socket at a fairly steady pace (sometimes it takes a few minutes), and when I stop doing so, I can't hear the sound in the game itself (Acts the same in several games), but on Skype, Teamspeak I can hear everything. If I have YouTube on in the background, it will also pause.
If I have mini-jack headphones connected or speakers turned on, nothing happens. Everything plays and flashes as it should.

It is hard for me to say because I did not check them in games on other computers, because I just do not have how to check them on them, but if I watch a movie on them it is all right.

Indicates a power problem when too many power-consuming USB devices are connected.
The solution will be to use an active USB hub or use mini-jack headphones.

You remove unnecessary USB devices from the registry (which you do not use).
Also remove the headphones and let them install from scratch.

I won't be doing it for the time being, and the anger has rectified itself, so I won't have any comparison, but I know that in a moment it will be done again.

This time I did the opposite. First, I connected the steering wheel, then the headphones, and after turning on the game everything works fine.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around persistent sound issues experienced in games on Windows 10, particularly when using USB headphones and the Logitech Driving Force GT steering wheel while playing Euro Truck Simulator 2. Users report that the sound often cuts out during gameplay, with indications that the headphones appear to reset intermittently. Suggestions include checking for power conflicts due to multiple USB devices, using an active USB hub, and testing with mini-jack headphones. One user noted that connecting the steering wheel before the headphones resolved the issue temporarily. The problem seems to be isolated to USB headphones, as sound functions normally with other audio devices.
