    Hi,
I'll warm up some cutlet because I have a similar problem ...

I need to split the page into three parts:
    1) in the upper part a few lines of text in standard format + left alignment
    2) divide the rest of the page vertically into two independent columns with the possibility of adjusting their width, entering text, inserting tables and photos, but so that the left page is completely independent from the right one

I separate the header part from the column part with a page break (continuous), but changing the text to a column layout in the second (below) part of the document does not allow me to work independently in both columns.

Inserting a two-column table is not a solution for me because adding a cell (not a row), e.g. in the right column with the cells shifted down, automatically forces the addition of a cell in the left column at the same height.

Thanks in advance for the hints.
    I work in office 360.

I separated as a new topic. Do not attach to other people's threads (and archival ones, too). RADU23

Have you tried to insert two tables next to each other separated by a space? I'm on my way and I don't know how to check, but it popped into my head so quickly.
Tables in the table. Make tables with two columns and insert new tables in these columns.
    Such an idea quickly. Hehe

    Robert Lipka,
thanks for fast reaction. Both suggestions are effective, down to the point of:
    way 1
Placing tables separated by a space next to each other causes one row to be shifted relative to the other. Nevertheless, it is an effective solution for my needs.
    way 2
nesting a table in a table works, but you cannot (or I cannot) extend the internal table to the maximum of the parent table. A margin of several millimeters on both sides is enforced.

Summarizing, both solutions can be adapted to what I have to do.

    THANKS A LOT !

You can find cell margins in the table and cell properties. You can handle the rest yourself.

    Taken over :D
However, I will write a short instruction to fill 100% of the parent table space with a child table because it may be useful to someone:

    Office 2010
On the PPM table -> Table properties -> Cell -> Options ... -> Cell margins -> uncheck the "Same as the whole table" checkbox and reset all 4 fields, i.e .: Top, Bottom, Left, Right -> OK
