    Hello,
2 weeks ago I bought an Asus Zenbook UX360C. It turns out that after the battery power drops to about 25%, the screen starts flickering (black / screen), when you move the mouse, nothing happens, but if it stops, it flashes again. After connecting the battery, nothing flashes, everything works great, the same with a charged laptop, no problem.
My question - battery, matrix, tape fault? I thought about giving it back under warranty, but it will probably take a month, and if nothing happens, knowing life, they will send back and write that the problem has not been found ... On the other hand, the laptop is brand new and it would be a pity to leave it with such disadvantage.
What are the possible solutions, because maybe it's a bad setting in the system?

Regards and thank you in advance.

We had exactly the same thing, with the battery at about 30-40%, the screen began to flicker when moving the mouse. Asus UX360C laptop. Any diagnosis, what could it be?

What I suspect about the subject - the battery may not provide enough power. When fully charged, the screen also flickers, turns off, turns on only when you move the mouse / touchpad operations.

    - start by writing to Asus - you'll see what they reply.

This problem appears in many Asus models where a matrix with backlighting requiring a supply voltage close to the battery voltage (not much lower) was used. After the operating time - when the battery no longer "holds" the nominal voltage, problems with the backlight begin.

In 15 "models, you can replace the matrix that works properly with a lower backlight power, and the old matrix can be used in laptops with higher battery voltage. It is a cheaper solution than buying a new battery.
In this model it is more complicated due to the construction.

This is a problem with the Intel graphics driver. Go to Intel Graphics Settings and in the Power tab select the Maximum performance option in the Select a graphics power plan field.
    Tested on own equipment.
    best regards
