Screen Flickering while on battery power, Lenovo Yoga 500-14 laptop

The battery flickers from time to time, but most flashes as the battery runs out when the battery is 10-15%, and flickering occurs more and more
    ---------------------
The laptop is no longer guaranteed.

    ----------------
    1. Connect the charger and the flickering stops as you remove it by hand.
I have searched the forums and this problem affects some Windows 10 laptops after upgrading
    2. Changing drivers to older ones etc. gives nothing
    3. Replaced the system for a clean Windows without a lenovo application nothing gave the problem still occurs
    4. I connected to an external monitor and the screen strange on the laptop is flashing and on the monitor I don't think it's a tape
    5. Connecting the charger screen stops flashing and now
At first I thought the matrix tape might be damaged, but when I connect the charger, I stop any ideas

It would be best to replace the tape, I know, but it costs about PLN 200, so for now I want to avoid costs if it is not the tape.

I forgot to add so the screen does not flash when it is at rest, it starts flashing when I move the mouse, or switch to the browser, i.e. how the load increases, I turn on YouTube, it flashes when watching, I turn it off is ok

Hello. At higher brightness also flashes on the battery?

Also, I changed power options to balanced later for high performance or battery saving when I don't touch the screen or with my finger or mouse, nothing happens. I touch the screen with my finger, move it or the movie is going blinking as it has some load. The more discharged the battery, the more often it happens. The flickering is so pulsing 3-5 seconds stops for 10-30 seconds and again
Switching on the charger stops flashing. :(

And here probably lies the problem - in the battery itself and not the tape.

Upss is not good, because just as it flashes and even for a moment connect the charger stops flashing and immediately disconnect the charger does not flash and it lasts with 5-10 m and depending on the battery charge percentage.

But one more thing worries me, if the battery as it is a laptop connected to an external monitor on the laptop is flashing on the monitor there
It is known that the monitor has an external power supply but the graphics draws voltage from the battery and here again the tape I mean is not damaged, but again as soon as the connection plug charging stops.
To be honest I have already got stupid, maybe someone had such a case

A problem also known from Asus - blinking caused by low (on the border) supply voltage of the matrix backlight and not the image but the backlight itself blinks.
In Asus, it helps to replace the matrix with another model (tolerating a lower backlight supply voltage) - a disassembled matrix can work successfully on models with a higher battery voltage.
In this case, the reason may be the same, but the solution is more difficult (matrix replacement is not so easy).
To begin with, one should measure the voltage in the main branch when powered by batteries.

Try to turn off ALS (automatic light sensor) in the system and give the backlight to the maximum. This should do the trick but it's just a half measure.

I borrowed a battery from a friend to rule out flashing, the battery goes off at 50% and starts flashing, plug in the charger and it's OK
I put my battery in a friend and here everything is ok or Battery is OK.

I turned off ALS sensors in the system, backlight on max, battery saving turned off in the settings of Intel and Windows still the same :( the battery goes down at 50% and starts flashing, plug in the charger and it's OK

And how to try to replace the "inverter" only where to get it for this model, I looked through the auction sites and there are none.
Maybe you have bearings where you can get one?

Hello, I have the same in yoga 500-15 inches. I understand that changing the matrix helps, but really the fault lies on the plate or matrix? After all, the matrix is new in it and suddenly after a while it became more greedy for electricity? Did the disc just start to give weaker voltage? In short, if the price for the matrix + touch set is the same as for the new motherboard, what better to replace?
    best regards

    Hello.
I once tried to solve this problem, but I could not clearly state the cause of the matrix flicker. This not only happens with LENOVO laptops. Generally, the point is that when working on the battery itself, the supply voltage of the matrix backlight gradually decreases as a result of battery discharge. When we connect the charger, the voltage increases to around 20V. After that, when the battery is working, the matrix is usually darkened (energy saving) if the screen brightens flickering often stops.
There is one more problem. From what I remember YOGA have a sensor that automatically changes the brightness of the screen as the ambient lighting changes. It often causes the flicker effect. Just switch from auto to manual mode in the screen settings.

Everything points to the fact that matrixes with faulty systems came out (LED driver supplying the converter) and after a while these flaws of these systems manifested themselves by flashing backlight.
There is even a thread on the forum where the system designation and replacement are given without this drawback (if I remember correctly the matrix thread in Asus, but it also applies to other brands).

    Hello friends,
In this case, the problem will be replaced by replacing the battery with 7.4V 2-cell, with 11.1V 3-cell. The problem will disappear.

Are you sure that replacing the battery will help?
I have a Yoga 500-14IBD Laptop and I have the same symptoms of battery life.
    Is increasing the voltage safe?

Yes, I am 100% sure. I have already done so in about 20 Notebooks, and it has always helped. This Notebook Model originally has 2-cell and 3-cell batteries, so changing to the original battery with a higher voltage is safe. Also the exchange for the New Panel with Martyce also helped, but not always for long. Greetings!

Specifically, my laptop is the Yoga 500-14IBD (ideapad) model - Type 80N4 Machine model type: 80N4002AUK.
I use it for personal tasks and sometimes I need to work on the battery, and because after disconnecting the power supply the screen goes dark completely, I can not do anything.
For a test while working on battery, I connected the TV to the laptop via HDMI and the picture works on the TV, while the laptop is dark.
Where can you buy such a battery and will nothing burn?
    Who can fix it?

You have the weakest battery (voltage) possible
    * you have increased capacity for it

I think that at 11V (or more expensive at 14V) it will solve the problem

The backlight power supply is probably pin.38-40 (LVDS connector (eDP))
    - see with your work on Aku your voltage there, fully charged (e.g. 7.8V)
    - then measure the voltage when the flickering starts, you can "play with the external power supply"
    * probably about 7.5V or 7.4 causes already visible flickering
