Hello, at the beginning I would like to emphasize that I am green in these matters ... I am going to buy a co-boiler with an internet connection module. Some time ago I bought a wifi repeater with the intention of connecting this boiler with an Rj45 cable. I decided to configure, which in a way I managed to connect via wifi, but after connecting a PC with the Rj45 cable, no internet connection pops up. I carried out the configuration in accordance with the attached instructions for 1 option, i.e. (Station). Could someone suggest what to do with this conundrum?

Draw what you have connected. And throw it in here.

Yes, the cable is functional because I configured the repeater with the same cable, I also checked on a different cable and there is a similar problem ps. the same is on the laptop after connecting the cable.

And is it not sometimes a repeater that only strengthens the wi-fi signal (such APek), and the socket is only used to configure and connect the signal if the radio would be too weak?

I allow this, but the configuration allows you to change the LAN settings, so I think it should also work (the manual says wired / wireless).

In my opinion, this device is either a repeater or signal amplification or an AP access point. According to the manual "It allows you to extend the wireless network ...", and you can manage it either wired or wirelessly.

And if you choose the AP mode, you connect the cable to the network (e.g. from the router) to the RJ45 socket and connect via wi-fi.

It seems to me that there is such a possibility in the matter of LAN settings.

What is the IP repeater? Manually assign those from the subnet of the main router (main 192.168.1.1 is a repeater, e.g. 192.168.1.2, only if the other device does not have it) and turn off DHCP and then set it as a repeater. What is the main router?

The problem was the main router. When trying to connect more than 1 devices via wifi, the router did not assign IP addresses, after changing the router everything works. Repeater configurations according to the manual. I close the topic.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around troubleshooting a WiFi repeater setup for a co-boiler module that is not providing internet access via an RJ45 connection. The user initially connected the repeater successfully via WiFi but faced issues when connecting a PC through the RJ45 cable. Responses suggest verifying the repeater's mode (Station vs. Access Point), ensuring proper LAN settings, and checking the main router's functionality. It was concluded that the main router was the issue, as it failed to assign IP addresses when multiple devices were connected. After replacing the router, the setup worked as intended.
