    Hello.
I have an EpsonL850 printer. It's actually new, about 400 pages.
Stripes and a "small mesh" began to appear on prints.
the nozzle test does not indicate that they are clogged, once I tried cleaning but without changes, so I assume that this is not it.
The "advanced ink flush" option is available on the printer menu but sounds pretty scary, so I haven't tried it yet.
Attached is a picture of the problem. What can it be if the nozzles are ok?
    Pretty urgent topic.
Thanks in advance for your help.

It can be seen that the BK head quality test is not entirely good. Do cleaning several times and if it doesn't help flushing out the ink (it uses a lot of ink).

You would still have to do something like align the printhead (option is in maintenance)
And as a colleague pointed out, you have a problem with the black head (break in the belt),
You need to clean several times ;) until there are no gaps in the printout (it's about these stairs)

Take nothing say I have the same thing only worse. And it began with how you were.

I called the service and they said to try cleaning a few times but on the mascara (just put the containers in a vertical position before you move because it will suck in air and it will be even worse)

And if that doesn't help, then the rinsing stays on. This morning I let go and we'll see what will make them wait 12 hours.

Every now and then it is worth cleaning the bottom of the head. A piece of disposable towel, distilled water or liquid for the heads ... gloves recommended.
Underneath the printhead, despite cleaning with the base station's cleaning program, dried ink often accumulates along with any other possible dirt. There are nico videos about this on YT. As an example, it is worth seeing an example for a larger machine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocoX1WJbJPM, however, the rules are the same.
In short, it boils down to forcing the head to be unblocked from the parking station (manually turning the rollers or removing the plug when the head is not parked) and then arranging the folded paper strip, moistening it, pressing it, sliding the head and gently rubbing its bottom in a way similar to shoeing shoes . Must be wet!
It is also worth cleaning the head docking station - sponge, gasket and wiper.
If all nozzles are in good working order, head adjustment must be carried out. A simple matter - the printer prints the template and we choose the smoothest pattern for the given group. We enter his number and save. It is worth repeating for checking / additional corrections.

    Hello.

I wanted to ask if you managed this problem?

I recently had to give my L850 (it is less than 2 years old) to the service because some strange stripes began to appear on it.
I gave her to the store for warranty (Euro RTV) and now I'm waiting.

On Thursday before the long weekend I was still printing something and everything was ok, I came back on Sunday and the stripes started.

I contacted the service first (I was surprised that it was not DEA anymore) and they told me to do some head cleaning (which of course I did before), and then rinsing - but it did not help, except that it went with 15% of new mascara.

Did anyone manage to do something about it?

Have you tried the methods I proposed?
Disposable towel and demi water (tap is not recommended) can sometimes do a lot.
The above method is very good and often helps. Recommended for larger printers.
I recommend using as soft but tear-resistant towels as possible; in construction stores, sometimes those made of thin, delicate non-woven fabric are available - probably described as heavy duty. Ordinary give advice. Be sure to work with gloves - the mascara will not easily peel off the fingers. By the way, it's good to check the status of the service station (where the head parks). If it is dirty, you can try cleaning cycles and a hundred years to no avail.

I do not recommend running the head cleaning program repeatedly; anyway, not again and again. This is a heavy load for the head, wasting ink and in my experience never brings results. If someone already wants to clean only in this way, I recommend you do the cleaning program, wait until the next day, do the test and the next cycle if you need to. 1, maximum 2 cycles per day, no more. You must wait a few hours between attempts.

Unfortunately, I came across this thread only today and I returned the printer on Tuesday.

While it is under warranty, I prefer not to move myself - that's why the guests fix it.

I used to clean the PX730 with CISS mounted (of course not factory because there is no factory) - I put such a cloth under the head and even slightly "dragged" it under the head - a lot of shit came out, but it helped.

As for head cleaning - you have to be careful about it, because it loads the head, wastes ink, but also shortens the life of the printer (I'm pretty sure that there is some information in the Epson about the amount of cleaning, which results in the fact that after some time it starts screaming about Pampers overflow).

This information is not unfounded. Each cleaning actually consumes a certain amount of ink and fills the pampers. Resetting and replacing with cottage methods is not an expensive party.

2 days ago my printer came back from the website (I gave it by warranty).
    Replaced head.
I am now wondering if I have 24 months for the new print head again (because this is the printer's "heart" or the significant part) or if the time goes on (in which case the warranty has expired).

If you use substitutes, the head will wear out faster. Of course it is not said that it will be so but it is as much as 80%.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues experienced with the Epson L850 printer, specifically the appearance of stripes and a "small mesh" pattern on prints after approximately 400 pages. Users suggest that the nozzle test indicates no clogging, and multiple cleaning attempts have not resolved the issue. Recommendations include performing head alignment, repeated cleaning cycles, and using the advanced ink flush option, despite concerns about ink consumption. Some users have experienced similar problems, leading to service interventions, including head replacements. Cleaning the printhead and its docking station is also advised to remove accumulated dried ink. Caution is advised regarding excessive cleaning, as it can lead to increased wear on the printhead and ink wastage.
