    Hello,
printer purchased about 3 weeks ago, printed about 230 pages (mainly text), after which we noticed that the colors of the printer do not correspond to reality. I admit, it is difficult to determine now whether this has happened from the beginning - but I would give my head that it did not. The carcasses are "from the set", i.e. original starters, poured into the tanks according to the manufacturer's instructions (yes, I was not mistaken, I did it fully concentrated). So simply - a printer bought, supplemented with inks, misprints.

I made a test printout of the test image from the Internet and you can see that the problem is (I'm sending a scan - you have to believe me that the colors and brightness of the scan are well rendered).

Print scan from the L3050 printer:

    What can you see
    - the colors are so dirty
    - gray color has a greenish tinge
    - the red strawberry is not so juicy ...
    - blue is slightly darker on the printout
    - magenta is purple ...

Colleagues, what's going on here? It seems to me that the printer mixes colors with each other (I'm ashamed to admit, I don't know which ... I think it adds to Magenta Cyan ...). Or is it just the lack of one?

Cleaning the heads does not help ... The nozzle test works perfectly, the colors on the nozzle test are difficult to determine (thin lines), but they look rather correct. When using the photocopier function, prints still have a strange shade, nothing changes.

Of course, I know that the equipment under warranty, I do not intend to interfere (do not write pls "give back for warranty" - and yes I know it will end like this). I ask out of curiosity, a little bit of anxiety ...

    Thank you.

I am not saying that the printer is operational but ... you may need to play with the settings and in particular the type of paper, or even change the paper to a different type / manufacturer.

Incorrect paper type. We print on plain paper with a frame and the "plain paper" option. Epson Matte is matte photo paper.

I am not a specialist in spitting, but I have seen a similar print recently with my client who printed photos with photo paper settings on plain paper. She had some Epson too. After setting the print parameters on plain paper, the quality was much better. The fact that photos printed on plain paper is a failure ... Such prints are suitable for documents, tables, etc. It is worth investing in good photo paper and necessarily original ink to print photos. I am a hobby photographer and I used the Epson P50 until the head fell down. Amazing print quality!

    Hello,
thank you for the answers. I have to admit that before writing the thread I read about the problem with the photo paper used and I had suspicions about this. In the settings I actually saw the selected Epson Matte paper, but it was one of only two available (both photographic) - it was impossible to choose "ordinary", which at the same time conflicted with the option above "standard paper" (I do not remember the names on a daily basis I don't use Win10). I will analyze these printer options again, because I think something is wrong - either in the driver or in the Windows application itself.

EDIT: The colleagues were right, of course - in fact, after combining you can change the type of paper. You just need to deselect the frameless print (somehow I didn't see such a necessity in Brother DCP-115).
Another thing is that I was a little overhead before using these settings - for the first time I see that the settings in the control panel have been changed so perfidly (as if with the user's consent, but ...). Well, I think my knowledge stayed at Win7 level.

Thank you colleagues for solving the problem. I will try to ask wiser questions for the future ...
