The question sounds idiotic it's true, but the situation is:

    - I have two PLUS LTE and cable internet networks
    - When I connect the cable to my laptop, I find the internet and unfortunately I do not see the disconnect option in the settings here, and I do not want to play with the modem all the time (turn it on and off, connect and disconnect).
    - I just want to connect to the Internet from Windows, I have easy with PLUS LTE because there a window pops up in my browser or I want to connect to the Internet

2018 - hardly anyone disconnects from the Internet, so why do such a function in Windows for the masses? If someone cares, he will write a batch file containing not too complicated content in the form of one command line. A real drama. If you had tried to write a file, instead of complaining for two days, it would take you about a minute to two.

And not easier and simpler to just turn off the LAN network in the device manager?

Right-click on the name of the network card and do "disable" or "disable".
And when we want to use it, we do "the other way" or "enable" or "enable".
You need to give the card a minute to start up, ask the DHCP server for IP, lease time and establish a connection.

Press the key combination: window (on the keyboard there is a windows sign between CTRL and ALT) + R -> a run window will appear, type in it: ncpa.cpl and enter in the newly opened window you will see your PPM network cards (right mouse button) for local connection and turn off to turn it on repeat this action only at the end turn it on again. :)

    Kocurek solved the problem nicely.

That's what I did, that I created shortcuts from this Ethernet connection and PPM is there to turn off. It's kind of funny that such a trivial problem has to be combined with some shortcuts. I always thought that in the sidebar there at the connection, the clock has an on-off option, and it wasn't.

    Cheers and thanks!
