    Hello, I want to buy a dual multi-band antenna antenna-dual-multi-band-lte-hspa-gsm-plug-sma to strengthen the weak GSM signal in the countryside.
    However, I will need a cable that is either 10m or 14m long depending on how I run it. Does the length of the cable matter and is there a lot of signal loss along with the length? Should I choose a shorter route or it doesn't matter that much?
    I will be very grateful for the hint. I would like to add that I am a layman in these matters, so I need it grossly. :-)

    The cable length has an effect on the drop, however with this number of meters it should not have an effect on performance.

    At these frequencies, the shortest and good quality antenna cables are used.

    Do as short as possible because already 10 meters is a lot. In addition, the 9dBi gain does not knock you down, first measure how strong you are catching the signal to choose the antenna, blind buying exposes you to costs.

    Brzymeq, thanks, and how can I measure the signal? And if I measure it, what's next? I understand that when buying an antenna, the higher the gain the better, right?
    As I wrote, I am a layman, which can be seen from my questions, but this is what the forum is for :-)

    Assuming that H155 will be used as the cable
    
    800 MHz dB/100m........................... 26.5
    1000 MHz dB/100m......................... 30.9
    1350 MHz dB/100m......................... 35.9
    1750 MHz dB/100m......................... 42.3
    2400 MHz dB/100m..........................49.6


    This is its attenuation at different frequencies. Calculate losses easily.
    I think that around 15 meters you will already be at zero.

    Many thanks for the quick and factual answers. Finally, I decided to use a different, more powerful antenna - a 2x ATK504 set with a 10m cable. The improvement is great. In a place where:
    - there is practically no internet on the phone and it's hard to get through,
    - via the Huawei B593u-12 modem with small antennas I have 1-2 lines (out of 5 possible), download 2Mbits, upload 1Mbit
    - after applying the above-mentioned I have 3-4 bars of antennas, download 16Mbit, upload 8Mbit
