The more so because a slightly different question does not make sense to attach.

    Hello all,
I will step on the topic, although my question is slightly different. Recently, uniphones in my block have been replaced with Laskomexes lm-8
Laskomex LM-8 Digital Intercom: Extension Cable Options, Signal Impact, & Wago Cube Usage
. When asked if it could be moved to another wall, the specialist said no, because it is an old installation and there are no such cables. And this one is a two-wire, single-wire copper one. And here is my question: could he be right? If not, what influence can a different wire thickness and connection method, e.g. a Wago cube, have on the signal?

    greetings.

A colleague will buy the necessary piece of YTDA or YTKSY, he will connect the wires by twisting them together and then soldering, and check them himself. The chance that something will go wrong is really minimal ;)

Honestly, I don't think he wanted to transfer it. What diameter veins? 0.75mm2, 1mm2, 1.5mm2? It is best to solder in such a situation - at least there is a certainty that a "permanent" connection.

Oh thank you for the quick replies.
I do not know the cross-section, and I do not have a caliper at hand. I will check it and solder the same one as soon as I get it. We will see what will happen.
    greetings.

With this diameter of the wires, you can safely use the "Wago" connector. By the way, this photo shows that the intercom must have already been carried.
And one more thing. Before moving the intercom, mark the + and - wires on the wires, otherwise it will not work for you.
