    Good morning!

My problem started with discharging the battery several times (but it is functional). Later, I noticed that the dipped beam headlights did not go out, and they actually glow despite turning them off with the lever. When I wanted to replace the relay, the lights went out completely and despite the efficient relay, they do not turn on anymore. Searching the forum, I found this topic: https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic2151775.html I managed to get to the board, but I have concerns about desoldering, so I came up with the idea of connecting the relay to the outside. I found a pin with voltage in the original socket and a pin going to the lights. After connecting the relay to these pins and switching it on with a plus from the battery, the lights turned on, so ok. The problem for me is the signal that activates the relay. In the diagram of the BSM box, I see that the dipped beam signal is pin 2 in the MT plug, while for me, pins 2 and 3 of this plug are empty. Maybe you know where to look for this signal?

You will not find a signal turning on the relay on the cables. The traffic light information goes to CAN.

I suspected that, but I was hoping that somehow the signal could be derived. It is difficult, you will have to try yourself with a soldering iron.

Thanks for the answer and best regards!

Today I desoldered the BSM. I was expecting a burned path, but to my eyes everything seems to be ok. If you can, Colleagues, look at the attached photo and judge if there is anything suspicious, then I will be very grateful.

I understand that no one is sure of the efficiency or defects of this plate?

Since you've found the relay, pick it up and extract the signals from its guts.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a malfunction with the dipped beam headlights on a Renault Clio III, where the lights remain on despite being turned off. The user initially faced battery discharges and attempted to replace the relay, which resulted in the lights turning off completely. They explored connecting the relay externally and identified a pin with voltage in the original socket. However, they encountered issues with the signal activating the relay, noting that the BSM box diagram indicated an empty pin for the dipped beam signal. Responses from other users suggested that the signal for the relay activation might not be available on the cables, as it could be transmitted via the CAN bus. The user also desoldered the BSM for inspection but found no visible damage. Additional discussions included a related issue about missing fog light wiring in another Clio III, with suggestions to patch the wires for repair.
